I was surprised to see so many "pro-universal healthcare" posts. I thought the american public was just as scared of this "socialistic" reform as the radical right.

UK. It's not perfect by any means and it is inefficient cash wise, certainly if you want the absolute best treatment in the world and you have loads of cash to spend on the top private clinics then yes, you could do better than the NHS and the UK's cancer suvival rates are the worst in Europe but as a healthcare system for the whole populace it works. The French however have a similar system and it works much better than ours, just far better run on every level. I also shudder to think what the next 4 years of Tory government will bring. They know they can't get rid of it but they'll try their hardest to run it into the ground.
