Came across this bit of news today. It's quite fascinating, how medical science has advanced.

http://www.medicaldaily.com/articles/12761/20121017/czech-man-heart-dies-liver-failure-6.htm

Whether or not his liver failure has been influenced by the pump installed in place of his heart isn't yet known, but it's good to see that there are more options than just transplant waiting list, even if those options will need a while to become more available.

I couldn't think of a heart related pun.

That's pretty cool though, I mean how badass would it be to walk around without a heart? If he had become a Vampire he would of been invincible.

Am I the only one who thought of this?

Anyways, that's pretty damn cool, but I find it hard to comprehend how that works.

I give my condolences to the man's relatives. It's remarkable, really, how much medical technology has evolved.

Within the next few years "printing organs" will become more common. "Printing" parts is already used for muscle tendons and few other things. I am not sure what the current status on bone is though... I am curious if it will become more practical to replace body parts rather than continue research towards cures if the part can simply be replaced. The possibilities new research brings to the medical world are hard to fathom.

I think what you meant to say is that this outcome is heartly surprising.
A man just died! How can you be so heartless?!

There is so much win in this post.

OT: Wow, that's quite a feat.

I've got one! He would have died sooner but the doctors didn't have the heart to tell him.

Huh, I should seriously watch news / read newspaper more. Getting news about my country from an English gaming forum is kinda weird :D (for the record - Czech president shot by airsoft gun and this one).

Anyway this is really interesting. It almost feels that once I'm old enough to be at a severe risk of heart attack I might just get my heart replaced and be jolly for another 30 years.

Oh wow, the fact that had didn't have a pulse must have been odd to get used to.

Although, I can image some of the puns I could do.

OT: Go Medical Science, first two weeks now half a year. Keep it up at this rate and we'll have suitable permanent replacements by 2020.

Cause everyone love Moores law. :3

My thoughts also go to his close friends and family.

So what you're saying is that you wanted to make a pun, but you didn't have the heart?

They both tell people they're ventricle-less.

It's OK, I'll show myself out.

This article really plucks my heartstrings?

I am really taking these news to heart.

Must have been a heart time for him.

Did he lose his heart to a woman? / That's what happens if you give your heart away.

He probably poured his heart out.

Yeah, this is tasteless.

The medical achievement, however, is quite amazing.

No, you're not, but I think this would be more appropriate:

Its a bit funny isnt it, Heartless are more like disembodied hearts (at least the emblem heartless, pure heartless seem to just be the embodiment of the darkness within hearts. Or at least thats what I think, Kingdom Hearts isnt very clear about the whole dealy), Nobodies are the real heartless.

Huh, maybe Xemnas would have taken himself out through liver failure if Sora just waited
