No, you're not, but I think this would be more appropriate:

Its a bit funny isnt it, Heartless are more like disembodied hearts (at least the emblem heartless, pure heartless seem to just be the embodiment of the darkness within hearts. Or at least thats what I think, Kingdom Hearts isnt very clear about the whole dealy), Nobodies are the real heartless.

Huh, maybe Xemnas would have taken himself out through liver failure if Sora just waited
Yeah, it does seem a bit backward.

Heartless - Lacking their former body but contains the heart (or at least aspects of it)
Nobody - Lacking their former heart with the form of their old body.

OT:

Can we just skip to the part where I get a robot heart, robot limbs, and some robot eyes? I want to be a cyborg more than anything.

Wut?

He survives fires daily, a heart tumor and transplant, then he gets snuffed out by liver failure?

Geez. That's cruel.

I couldn't think of a heart related pun.

That's pretty cool though, I mean how badass would it be to walk around without a heart? If he had become a Vampire he would of been invincible.
This article really plucks my heartstrings?

I am really taking these news to heart.

Must have been a heart time for him.

Did he lose his heart to a woman? / That's what happens if you give your heart away.

He probably poured his heart out.

Yeah, this is tasteless.

The medical achievement, however, is quite amazing.
I hate to muscle in on this but I heartly see whats so bloody funny, I mean its artery something worth joking about!

I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
His plight should not have been in vein.

While I doubt this is as effective as an actual heart it's still amazing. The part I love about this though is that creationists are always saying that evolution is bullshit because we can't recreate the things that are in nature. If the possibility of making artificial organs is there then they have lost one of their reasons for dismissing evolution. It wont make a difference though, I'm sure we could present solid proof for it and they would dismiss that. However now we can at least dismiss them using actual facts.

Well done technology and medicine I guess. Shame that the guy died, like it always is. But the amount of proof he's given that artificial organs can work is amazing. He didn't die for nothing.

Anyways, that's pretty damn cool, but I find it hard to comprehend how that works.
Only reason the topic caught my eye.

OT: That's... insane. Assuming the liver didn't fail due to the pump, how long could he have continued living with a mechanical "heart?"

Man. I can't wait to be a cyborg.

YES we know that creationism is fucking stupid, but this thread is kinda about the miracles which the human race can make into reality, and about how creationists are going to ignore evolution theory. You're like a feminist who sees a LEGO-commercial and responds with "this is sooo anti-woman, how dare they market that to boys only, but the lego for girl things is also sexist blablalblablablabla..."

You ignore the part where I say it's amazing that we are able to emulate nature and only see this as Atheist stupidity and you feel like complaining about how I am missing the point?

As a biologist I think this is amazing, having a friend who has actually had a heart transplant I think this is amazing. As a believer in evolution over creationism I think this is amazing. Honestly it seems like you ignore that I thought this is amazing for the sole purpose of ranting about idiotic Atheists who can't see past their beliefs. Now I might be wrong, but this kind of mentality is what makes it impossible to actually have an intelligent discussion on the internet. See what you want to see if that truly makes you feel better.

I think what you meant to say is that this outcome is heartly surprising.
A man just died! How can you be so heartless?!
I know you, at least, would appreciate this

It is also the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title. I'm not sure how many other people would agree with me.

Thanks for that :)
You're right, I did appreciate that. Immensely in fact.

To be fair to the guy calling you out, it did seem a bit unnecessary. I mean sure, what you said is true, but at the same time, it did seem like you were taking the opportunity to shoehorn it in for no reason. Intelligent discussion is good, but I mean there is a time and a place for it, and this really didn't feel like it.

I can agree that there's no reason to bring creationism into this, but accusing me of ignoring the medical breakthrough or how amazing it is that we are able to replicate human organs when that was in fact my FIRST sentence is idiotic. He accused me of ignoring what's important and with that he ignored what I was saying. Tell me how that makes sense.

Is this the same guy who did an interview on the BBC and his beeper went off due to heightened blood pressure?

That is amazing to hear about the heart surgery. Give it some more time and we'll be able to do all kinds of things. Though I am curious...if the doctors were able to create a heart machine for him, couldn't they have done the same thing for his liver, knowing that he was on a waiting list?
