Oh yeah, I forgot about those fights. Wait, you fight choppers in SoC? I don't remember that. Maybe I was too busy cowering in fear or something. That seems likely. I did that a lot in that game.
Well, you don't
have to fight the choppers in SoC. It's during the NPP run and they're taking pot shots at you as you frantically run through monolith and military troopers on the ground. If you're so inclined you can try to shoot them down - it's hard with the RPG, and
long with anything less, but wholly possible to do so.
IIRC, they just kinda explode in mid air though. No watching a Hind spiral into the NPP's smokestacks or anything.

How about the Heli-crash sites that exist in every level of Killing Floor?
Heh, I was going to mention that when I got back to this thread. But technically it's not in every level. In the official maps the only crash is on KF-Manor (the game never says why the chopper went down, though). In the fan-made maps there's KF-Departed where a controlled landing was made after the chopper ran out of fuel, KF-Crash where you're investigating the crash-site of a DRF (Disaster Recovery Force - the official name of the ragtag band of soldiers, cops, and citizens fighting the zeds) chopper, KF-Mountainpass where the Patriarch shoots down your chopper, and probably a couple more.
The DRF does not have good luck with helicopters. Tripwire ought to put a Helo pilot in the next set of characters, haha.

The last two games I have played (FEAR3 and Operation Flashpoint Red River) have like 5-10 combined heli crashes.
The first FEAR ends with a helicopter crash, and the second one begins with (an entirely unrelated) helicopter crash too.
