"Our ammo won't last forever, start climbing!" Buck yelled through the continual gunshots. Every one started to scale the "metal deathtrap" while he stayed on the second platform to kill anything that dared to rush them. After the cartridge ejected, he reached back for another but he was out.
Damnit...
He threw the WWII era rifle over his shoulder and quick switched to his pistol. Several of the zombies were now clawing at his feet, nothing a good bullet to the head couldn't fix, and there was even more pouring through the doorway.
Gotta get them out, but how? HOW?
He them got an insane idea, one that could get him killed but it was better than being cornered on the roof. He looked around the room and found a window that hadn't been boarded up and that was the key to his master plan. He reached down and pulled the ladder up a bit, just out of the zombie's reach and took his First Aid Kit from over his shoulder.
"Hey, catch!" He threw the kit to the man he'd been talking with earlier, "I'm going to get their attention away from you guy, when the coast is clear run."
He climbed on the railing and looked back up. "If you ever see this," He motioned to the vest with the massive red cross on the back, "You know who it is, so don't be shy." He tried to be optimistic, but knowing very well this could be the end of ole Buck.
He leaped into the crowd of the undead, knocking a couple from their feet and bulldozed his way to the window. With full force, he leaped through the window and he was right about it being boarded up on the outside though. He quickly recovered and let the zombies begin rushing through the window and around the corner before sprinting away.
At least this'll buy them some time...
