Hellhounds. A Starcraft RP (Recruitment by invite only; send msg) Chapter 1: Fall of the Confederacy

"Concentrate all ground fire on those Spore Colonies." Chris said. "Wraiths and Battlecruiser, move in for the kill the second they're down. Take out that Hive!"
He began wading through the mass of dead zerg with his Goliath and closing in on the Spore Colonies. He began firing at them with the dual miniguns. The Spore Colony started spewing blood all over the battlefield. It eventually started getting slack and losing some of its color. "This one is almost dead!" Chris said. "Get to the other ones and we can end this fight!"

 

[Kaboose the Moose]

Marcus shot another Hydralisk in the head. The armor piercing rounds went right through the beast's skull and embedded itself in the head of another Hydralisk, killing both creatures. "OOH RAH!..a two for one special" He yelled out from top of the tank. The Hellhounds had carved a bloody path and were almost up to the hive. The tanks mighty cannon roared again disintegrating another spore colony, Roman belted the Zerg that tried to rush the tank with bullet fire and Marcus systematically sniped the Overlords and Mutakisks from the sky. He paused to watch as their heads and wings were blown apart and they dropped like stones to the ground, crushing hundreds of swarming Zerg beneath their mighty weight.

The commander in his Goliath was spraying the field with bullets and hellfire missiles. "One last spore colony to go" Marcus yelled. Just as he said those words the tank aimed and fired a mighty shell which landed on top of the colony crippling it. The commondos opened fire on it destroying it completely. "Enemy air defenses are clear" he yelled on the Coms to the commander.

The ground rumbled as more Zerg emerged from the ground in a desperate attempt to stall the Hellhounds but they were met with swift gunfire from all sides. "Almost there!" Marcus bore the widest grin on his face. They had a clear path to the hive.

Suddenly the ground rumbled again and again. The Ultralisk emerged into view as the dust from the gunfire settled.

Drake floated in a medical grade healing cell, suspended in bleu gel like liquid, and a mask covered his face feeding him with all sorts of different substances, oxygen, medicine, pain killer, and a lot of other thins he had no idea what they where. Even thought most of his body was nub he could kind of feel the deep slash in his shoulder mending itself. Doc told him he be fight fit before the next morning?22 house away?

The thought of the battle continue to haunt his thought it would probably be over before he would be healed, either we won or they did.

A nurse can up to the cell and look at his, vital sing and writhing something on hi cart. She looked up at him, and then spoke into the speaker phone.
?You really should get some sleep?
?Cant? replied Drake ?keep thinking about my friend down there??
?Don?t worry so much, remember there Hellhouds, lead by Commander James. And besides, Captain McCarthy, sent down two Goliaths for them, last I here James is an excellent Goliaths pilot.? Said the nurse
?sopos your right.?
?Good, now get some sleep. Nurses orders.? And then walk away.
Captain McCarthy, Drake was sure Chris said he was gut a commander, oh well he did come and help them, so he let it slide, he closed his eyes and pictured Chris in a Goliaths killing some serious zerg ass before the drugs got to him and he fell asleep

Taking aim at the ultralisk Korbus takes out one of its legs. "Dam im out rifle rounds." Pull out his pistol Korbus takes aim at the nearest zergling and blows its brain in. "I'm pulling back to the ridge, i'll see if i can get some info on the battle between the zerg and the protoss."

Korbus slowly pulls back ducking under incoming fire. After reaching the top of the ridge korbus. Surveys the battlefield. Looking over the battle he sees the high templar begining too unlease his psionic storm.

The ultralisk began a blind charge towards Chris' Goliath. "Shit!" Chris said. "I've got some attention from the Ultralisk. Take it out!" He began turning his Goliath to fir at the monster but it proved to be faster and was able to know the Goliath to the ground. Sparks flew out from the controls inside the cockpit and Chris could soo through a gaping hole the Ultralisk had made. He saw the Monster begin to charge again. Just as it was bearing down on Chris, the Commander saw a flight of Wraiths pull a strafing run on it. The large Zerg screamed in pain. This gave Chris the time to pull himself out of the Goliath and grab his rifle. He stood below the Ultralisk and shot at its head, letting out a primal scream as his shots met his target. The Ultralisk then lifted its huge front feet and looked as if it was going to trample Chris. It then let out a monstrous growl and fell sideways, bleeding all over and looking quite dead. "Ultralisk is down." Chris said between pants. "Air support destroy that damn Hive now!"

 

[Tegual]

"Commander, The Protoss have turned the tide of battle on their side. They are advancing towards the base i count 80 Zealots, 30 Dragoons, 5 reavers and the High Templar. If we're destroying that hive it had better be soon."

Seeing the protoss advance Korbus turns round and heads back to base.

 

[Mr Fatherland]

My Tank shells thunder into the hive.
"Cover me while I take the Bug's nest out!"As I look around, I see the Protoss moving in from the other side in a pincer movement.
"Commander, what should I do? Let the Protoss deal with the Zerg? They're certainly capable."

the zerg though there mindlessness and stupidity some how knew that they were in trouble, with the protoss advancing from there failed charge, and there base torn to shreads it was no wonder they started to go a little mindless. looking up at the overlords controling them you could easyly see there minds were streached to there limit. the place crawled with zerglings starting to mistake each other for enermys and begin to attack each other like the wild animals they were.

Amist the chaos was base zipping back and forth with his vulture side to side shooting anything that wasnt human (often missing but thats to be expected when traveling at 110km/h)in the distance he watched the ultralisk charge the commander only after being shot in its leg. Zooming down the center of the carnage He knew he had to get there fast before somthing bad happened, watching in dismay he sore the powerful and sterdy Goliath get torn to shreads but the claws of this might beast only to be shot apart by the strafing run of the inbound air ships.

The feeling of solice to see the commander eject just in time was short lived how ever, as soon as he had hit the ground three Hydralisks had found there way to the fallen commander. and without any inbuilt RPGs to fire at the group he knew there was only one thing to do.

Watching the zerg get closer and closer to the commander he jumpped up onto his vulture and attached a grenade to the inside of the vehicle. with only 20 meters to go he knew he only had one chance at this. driving of the side he watched as his vulture whitch had served him so well went spiraling into the group exploding into a million pieces and taking out two of the three Hydralisks there, the other although badly injurded was not dead, turnning around and hissing towards him, he knew what that ment. Grabbing his gun and opening fire into the beast he was to late, the Hydralisks back opened up and it fired off one of its discusting spines, exploding on Bases left shoulder exposing the insides of his thick armor. the beast was quickly ended after that in a hail of lead and blood.

Rushing over to the commander and helping his up with his exposed left arm and aiming at anything the moved with his right.
"Sir are you ok, we need evac now!, Call it in and we may just get out of here alive"

walking back out of the supply station with a crate full of tank shells Dakor set down the box beside him did a 360 turn before saying "well only missing one thing here" kicking over the box of shells and sending repair tools flying he shouted "WERE THE HELL IS MY GOD DAMN TANK?"
walking back over to the jeep grumbling " I cant turn my back on that thing for a second with out some cannon happy commando steeling it."

I heard Dakor get angry into the radio. I grinned and turned back round towards base. The fight was going to shit anyway.

"Commander!...Commander!, What are your orders!" he yells out while fireing towards anything the doesnt move on two feet. "we need to get out of here, we are sitting ducks" yelling once more. Shootting again and again he gets the strange feeling that his gun is getting lighter in his hands and that can only mean one thing *rat ta ta ta ta* *click* *click* "OH SON OF A! cover me" he yells out.

A shadow looms over head, a large shadow, the type of shadow that has teeth. it was a Hydralisk that seemed to be smirking towards the pair as if to say "now your fucked" it loomed over head closer and closer. Base could easily smell its rotten breath though the half inch think glass protecting his head.

*BANG* a single shot rang out a pause... then a spray of blood and the Hydralisk fell, Base looking around and grabbing the commander followed the path of the blood spray up to the mountains there he sore a single wave from his teammate, Korbus

"Just to let you know Korbus I had that under control" he said over the com
*BANG* another shot, Base spun around to see the corps of a Hydralisk that had sneaked up on him fall to the ground
"Just like that one" Korbus says over the com and a smug tone of voice
"Smart ass" Base replys lifting his reloaded gun up and begining to fire back into the surrounding zerg

a few moments past, Base still firing "60 shots left he thinks" just before a angry voice comes over the radio
"WERE THE HELL IS MY GOD DAMN TANK?" yells Dakor
" I cant turn my back on that thing for a second with out some cannon happy commando steeling it."
"Its already in combat, theres a vulture fully loaded in the shed, GET YOUR ASS HERE" Base replys

*rat ta ta ta* " 40 shots left he thinks
His back slams agenst something hard, Turning his head around he spots a happy site, Its was the commander, back awake and already fireing into the zerg. back to back they fought together
"Oi Commander, just like old times ai?"
"Just like old times" he replys.
"Now how about that evac"

grabbing the beforementioned vulture he reopened the Com channle "fuck I havent finished fixing it yet its liable to break down again anytime and It only has 2 shells in the main cannon." picking up his tool kit a wrench and some extra shells he quickly headed out following the tank treads.

Base replys over the com to Dakor
"thats ok man, any fire power is good fire power. and besides we could really use a exit here" he says fireing away
" coords are 95.67 lat, 56.42 long. Come you greese monkey you"

 

[Grab-bag]

Ross set his rifle to semi-automatic and aimed it at two Hydralisks. he squeezed his trigger and after two shot the bullets peirced the beasts armor and it fell over, spluttering and wailing. he took aim at the others and waited. He held his radio close by and began to shout:
"Roman? Roman, we have a group of the bastards heading north, take 'um down with your buddys!" with that ross ended and shot more. Ross had a zerg to attend to. And quick. He raised and began to sprint down the feild. This is why he signed up.

Chris got looked up to Base and smiled. "Evac?" he asked. "But you're going to miss the fireworks!" He looked towards the Zerg Hive and saw the Cerberus looming closer.
"Yamato online and ready to fire" Rick said. "She's yours to command Chris."
Chris was practically grinning ear to ear. "Fire." he said.
The battlefield seemed to freeze. Everyone, Terran, Protoss, even Zerg, were starting at the Cerberus charging it's Yamato cannon. A few seconds later the blast came flying down towards the Hive. Chris put a hand up to block the blinding sight from his eyes, laughing wholeheartedly the entire time. After almost a full minute, the light from the blast went out and a giant black crater was the only remains of the Hive. All the zerg units that were standing before the blast were caught in confusion, they all fell to the ground and looked like they were having a seizure.
"Direct hit." Rick's voice finally said. "Hive destroyed."
Across the battlefield Chris saw a lone Protoss Zealot that seemed to be saluting him. Then he heard him in his thoughts. Aiur offers you gratitude, Terran. And so do I. With that the Zealot turned away and dissapeared over a rise. Chris then saw the form of the Protoss Cruiser decloak and send in it's own dropships.
"What the Hell!" Rick said, surprised.
"Stand down Cerberus." Chris said. "They're just here to pick up their boys."
"Not a bad idea. You guys ready to take that evac now?" Rick asked.
Chris laughed. "Dammit! We've been ready to get the hell off this rock after we beat the Korhals!"
"Dropships inbound then" Rick said.
"OOH RAH Hellhounds! We're heading home!" Chris yelled over the squad comms.

"hay commander, this tank saved our asses a few times here mind If I bring it back with me?" said Dakor hammering away the dents in the tank.

"Sure thing." Chris answered "Just make sure you signal it to the dropship pilots."
Chris began walking towards the LZ. He turned back around and, with a smile, said to Drakor. "I also want you to give it a good name before we start fixing it up again, and adding some mods."

driving the tank over to the LZ Dakor began thinking of a name for his not so little creation.
arriving there he walked over to the commander and said "so for the tank I was thinking about Iron angel."

"She's your baby but I was thinking something more... Hellish." Chris answered. "Keep thinking about it, I need to go thank Rick personally." He then got into one of the dropships and strapped himself in.
