After Drake got up the elevator, and the receptions told him and the rest on the squad to tack the fifth door on the right. Drake went inside, and saw the fleet admiral,
Chief of Military Strategy, and Edmon Duke sitting around a conference table, Drake took a seat next to Chris, he was pretty nerves, heed never been in the presence of such high ranking official before, ether something great is going to happen, or more likely, something really bad has gust happen.

They had better have some good explanations about abandoning the squad on Antiga Prime was the first thought that popped into Marcus's mind. Chances were that being Confederate top brass that these people were they were under no obligations to explain themselves. Marcus sat next to Drake who also showed signs of apprehension about the meeting. Marcus nodded slightly to the general before sitting down.

"Well," The Chief of Military Strategy started, "first of all I would like to congratulate you on your success against both the Sons of Korhal and the Zerg on Antiga Prime. However the situation has gotten much worse, and I'm afraid these victories are only small ones when compared to the problem we now face."
"The problem," Duke cut in, "is that our own ungrateful people, that we are trying to protect are startin' to side with the enemy!"
"Indeed," The chief said, "we have an increased number of protests in all of our cities, and most importantly a large number of defections. It seems one of our Marshals, a Jim Raynor, and also the Magistrate from the planet of Mar Sara have defected from the Confederacy and joined the Sons of Korhal. They have taken all their forces with them aswell."
"Any reason behind this defection?" Chris asked.
"We had a... complication duting a mission." The chief explained.

"What sort of a complication would lead to the Magistrate in taking such a rash action?" Marcus interrupted. "Could you explain the nature of the mission they were on?"

"It seems the Magistrate's forces fired upon a Confederate Command Center against orders." the Chief explained to Marcus.
"They were told to sit tight and wait for reinforcements!" Duke yelled. "One of their bases was under attack by the Zerg, and we were en route to help them."
"That thing wasn't normal." The unknown Marine said, everyone turned and looked at him, he was trembling as he spoke. "It was... infested. The Zerg, they, they were sapping it..."
"Oh," The chief said, as if he just noticed that the Marine was there, "this Corporal Harry Frost. He was a part of the Magistrate's forces before the attack. He accepted to give us a first hand account."
"What happened to the Magistrate's forces afterwards?" Chris asked. "I'm sure that destroying a Command Center isn't what caused him to defect."
"Well," the Chief explained, "the Zerg forces were all over Mar Sara. We denied the Magistrate any aid against them due to their dissobeying of orders. In the end though the Sons of Korhal were able to send them some dropships to save their colony."
"So they defected because the Korhals saved them." Chris said. "Is that why their earning more sympathy? The Korhals look like the good guys now?"
"We haven't told the people about this." The chief said. "It would tip the balance too far in their favor."

Drake had a hard time swallowing all of this, not only did they not come to there aide on Antiga Prime, but also left the hole of the Mar Sara colonies to die.
"Sir" Drake spoke up "With all do respect, it seem that this magistrate had his reasons, maybe if we where to speak to him, he'd come to his senses."
Drake really wanted to now more about both the abandoning that they gut did. But he new it would be crossing the ling, and there was no way he was going to do that?again.
Someone else will most likely ask.

"We can't communicate with him at all." The fleet admiral said. "We tracked the Korhal ships as far as we could but eventually the trail went dead."
"So where does that put us?" Chris asked.
"You and Alpha are the best." The Chief said. "That means that you are to double your efforts in finding and stopping the Sons of Korhal, before they become an even larger threat."
"That still doesn't explain what we're supposed to do next."
"Alpha has been sent to try to pick up and follow the dead trail of the Terrorists." Duke said.
"And the Hellhounds are going to be sent over to..." The chief was cut short. A man burst into the room. "Sir!" the man said. "We have a problem!"
"Excuse me." the Chief said getting up and exiting the conference room.

Marcus looked over to the Commander and whispered; "This is getting out of hand, the confederacy are trying to contain a public relations meltdown and we are supposed to do damage control?".

"They better not be sending us to the far side of the sun to go looking for a needle in a haystack" he muttered.

"You want us to find and eliminate 'treats' to the confederacy. So were being sent after Korhal again." Looking over towards Duke. "Hmm, Hey Duke you do remember that Alpha is spread thin at the moment" Korbus commenting.
"How the hell did you know that." Duke yells.
"So you want the Hellhounds to go after Korhal, and more than likely want there entire command staff dead. I'd say that it would be interesting but do you have any idea of where they are? Or how about allies and backers."

Chris was about to reply when the Chief stepped back into the room.
"I've just recieved news." The chief said. "It seems the Sons of Korhal just assaulted the Jacobs Installation."
"How the hell!?!" Duke yelled.
"It seems our renegade Magistrate and his friend Marshal Raynor have broken in and gotten some sensitive datadiscs." the Chief explained.
"That installation contains information on the Ghost program." Chris said.
"That's right." The chief said. "And that's why this is such a big problem." The chief turned to the General. "Duke, take alpha down to the installation and follow their trail. Hellhounds, your mission is to go to Chau Sara and help the local Security Forces there to quell an uprising. It seems they citizens are getting restless in the light of the zerg invasion of Mar Sara, and the fact that the Sons of Korhal saved the people of their sister world. We will call on you again when we've located the Sons of Korhal."
"Sir, I wanted to ask abou..." Chris began to ask the Chief
"Report back to the Cerberus for transport and equipment, Commander. Dissmissed!" The chief said, cutting off all further discussion. He got up and walked out of the room, the Admiral, the Marine and the General following behind him.
Chris and his squad were the only ones left in the room.

"Putting down an uprising, there must be more to it than that. Well i guess we know that there worried about Korhal. Those data disk must have had something extremely important on them. I wonder, the ghost program. What would Korhal want with that? I guess we have orders then." commenting on the mission Korbus rises. "Commander what do you know about the Chief and Duke?"

"Duke's been in the Military for a long time." Chris said. "He's probably the most well-known general in the Confederacy. Been through hundreds of battles, or so I'm told, and has never lost one of them. The Chief of Military Strategy is the one who decides everything on operations. When they will happen, who will execute them, and which ops won't happen."
Chris got up. "We have orders." He said. "Let's get back aboard the Cerberus and carry them out." With that he walked out of the room and made for the elevator. The walk back to the Cerberus was silent. When Chris got back to the ship Rick was there to greet him.
"Heard you guys are getting sent over to Chau Sara." Rick said.
"Yeah, we have to quell another..." Chris stopped when he saw Rick's new rank insignia. "Captain?"
Rick laughed. "Yeah," he said, "looks like they heard about the rescue and instead of a courtmarshal I got a promotion!"
"What about the old captain?" Chris asked
"He said he didn't want anything to do with us anymore after we recieved commendations for our actions." Rick explained. "So they made me captain of the Cerberus and supposedly he's going to be in command of the Norad II."
"Duke's ship." Chris said. "That's a better place for a man who follows orders blindly. Him and Duke will get along well."
Rick laughed. "Whenever you guys are ready to ship out just tell me." He said.
"You still have all our equipment aboard?" Chris asked.
"Yeah," Rick answered, "didn't even hve time to unpack it. Mods are installed though."
"Then that's all the preparation we need." Chris said. "Thanks Rick."
"Welcome aboard then Commander." Rick said.
Chris walked inside the ship beside Rick. "So how long is the trip going to be?" Chris asked.
"We'll be a Day." The captain answered. "By noon tomorrow you guys will be using non-lethal force on some angry civilians!"
"Great." Chris said sarcastically.

ooc : I'm going to have us be away on Chau Sara for some of the Starcraft campaign story elements, Chau Sara is going to stay Zerg-Free for another while. (At least during our stay). It's just a place for us to chill out while the Starcraft Campaign unfolds around us. We'll jump into it again soon.

Chau Sara. Going back home Marcus thought. He hardly could remember his childhood on the planet after been taken into the Ghost Program. Memory swipes were common but due to his "gifted" psionic capabilities Marcus could still remember bits and pieces of the place, enough to remember the voices of the people he grew up with.

He shook his head as if to clear the cobwebs. None of those people he once knew would be alive, after all it was mostly a wasteland planet and prone to uprising. He braced himself as he boarded the drop ship to set foot on another alien surface.

"What are our rules of engagement, Sir" he asked Chris. "Do we shoot to kill?"

"Negative." Chris answered. "We're not to kill any civilians. They may be sympathetic to the Korhals, but they're not terrorists. We're to use non-lethal force to take them down, and even that should be a last resort. We'll be landing in Los Andares. There we'll meet some of the local law enforcment, we're to assist them."

Drake loved the repairs done on his armor, and drone pod woks perfectly; he played around a bit with it before the commander told him to quit it. Aside from that the technician calibration where dead on and his movement felt natural and smoother that ever, plus for shits and giggles the guy serviced his rifle and improved the scope in a way he had never thought of before. Even will be a name to remember and get him several beers sometime soon.

Drake snapped out of his gawking of equipment when Marcus asked the method of engagement. And the commander told him "We're not to kill any civilians.

Drake could not wait to kill some zerg and or protoss with his new gear.

"Understood commander." Draine said, as he put his gear on. He could use his psychic powers to disarm a civilian threat.

Marcus checked his ammo bag inventory for his sniper rifle before settling in. "Non lethal rubber bullets- check;
Armor piercing rounds;- on standby, Depleted Uranium shell rounds;- definitely a no-no for this mission; High heat thermal rounds;- no, explosive rounds; - on standby" He said aloud as he adjusted his ammo stocks.

No sense in overburdening himself with items he wouldn't be needing. He grabbed his kit and waited till everyone else was ready.
