"THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE" Base yells before anouther citizen pulls out a gun and fires at him, the bullets bounce of him harmlessly
"Well if thats the way your play it fine" raising his weapon and lobbing in 2 tear gas grenade. the grenades explode in the center of the crowd forcing them to spread away and fan out. the run around trying to avoid the gas. Base grabs the man who fired at him by the scruff of him collar "Your not going any where" he says to the man before turning him around and cuffing him

Occ: I assume that citizens can gain access to high explosive rounds or any rounds that could harm 6 inch think armor

Chris finished bringing the two boys over to the police checkpoint. He handed them over to the officer there and told him not to be too rough with them. As he was about to turn around he saw a television with a UNN report.

"...of Korhal captured the planet of Antiga Prime today. They were aided by the ex-Magistrate of Mar Sara and Marshal Jim Raynor. The coup happened too quickly for the Confederacy to hold the planet. The renegade soldiers took the city of Andassa and moved on to eliminate the Confederate Military base. When asked to comment the Confederate Chief of Military Strategy had this to say : 'The base on Antiga Prime was already weak following a previous attack by the Korhals, that's why they fell. However the situation will be resolved very soon.' He did not specify how the Military planned to resolve the situation however. Across the galaxy, the famous Hellhounds have been comissioned to the planet of Chau Sara to pacify a volatile situation. The Marines have..."

"Son of a *****." Chris muttered under his breath and walked back to meet his squad. He walked over to see them trying to hold back the mob of rioters. "When were done for today I want us all to meet at the Cerberus." He said to the squad. "I need to talk to the Chief again, I'll be on board already, you guys can take care of this situation on your own. I'm putting Marcus in charge for now. Just remember; I want no casualties."

Bio :
Van Hagernand used to live a rather normal life. Joining the confederation like anyone else. People training him did notice that there was somewhat diffrent with Van Hagernan, than any of the other recruits. Van Hagernan was actually just recently released. But due to the dire situation, he was rushed out. Luckily for Hagernand, the team he was set to join was the Hellhounds
Van Hagernand is one of the less heroic marines. Don't be fooled by that statement, though. He will still be able to whip alien ass at a higher rate than any other marine. He's just not as superman-like such as the rest of heroes.


Hagernand is awaiting the commander by the ship, due to some questions he feels the urge to propose.

Chris walked back over to the Cerberus. It hand landed on Chau Sara in a large flat wasteland just a few minutes south of the city. He went aboard and made his way to the bridge.
"What's up man?" Rick asked when he saw Chris. "Not enough rioters to keep you busy?"
"Almost too many." Chris answered "But I need get a signal out to the Chief."
"Sure thing." Rick said, and signaled to a crewmember to open a channel.
"Channel open, sir." He said
"This is Chris James, Commander of the Confederate Omega Squad, Hellhounds." Chris said.
The Chief's voice immediately came back before Chris could say more. "I know who it is, Commander." He said. "We're rather busy with the situation on Antiga Prime though, what do you want?"
"Well, that's just it, sir." Chris said. "We just liberated Antiga. I wanted to know if you would send us back out again."
"Negative, Commander." The Chief said. "Duke and Alpha are on the job as we speak. Norad II is in orbit of the planet and is sending down some Marines to pacify the Terrorists and their rebel allies."
"Sir, with all due respect, I recommend you send us in there too." Chris argued. "We can provide..."
"You already have orders Commander!" The chief cut him off. "Proceed with your assigned mission. We will call upon you again when we need you. Don't worry, you'll get your share of battles before the end of this."
"Yes sir." Chris said. The transmission was ended.
"Hey man." Rick said. "Don't worry. Duke's gonna win."
"Yeah, you're probably right." Chris said. "I just can't help it. I've got a very bad feeling about this. I don't know if it's the Zerg attacking us on Antiga before, or maybe the increased Korhal influence. I just know something seems very wrong in the Confederacy."
"We'll be fine." Rick said reassuringly. "We've been winning battles for years against the Korhals!"
"Yeah, but they're starting to win too." Chris said.

Why yeah. That was kinda what I stated too. But .. Yeah.

Van Hagernand went up to Chris with some comforting words. "Look at the bright side. I mean - the zergs obviously are'nt too clever. And I'm betting that they won't have too much against our superior firepower. And the protoss. Due to their intelligence I'm certain they must encounter the same intern difficulties as we do"

"Yeah." Chris said. "But I'm also getting worried about the Sons of Korhal."

ooc : I'll be out of the action until you guys are done stoping the riot for the day. Meet me back at the Cerberus when you guys finish.

Boomer rushed towards Roman's position just in time to see the tank get assaulted with weapons fire. They were small arms fire but still the civilians were using deadly force and the Hellhounds could only retaliate with non lethal weapons. The situation was getting worse by the minute with the protesters getting bolder, throwing molotov cocktails at the marines and the tank.

Another gas grenade was lobbed out by the commandos striking the crowd. "Do we have any casualties?" he asked Roman. "And where is Marcus?". Boomer yelled into the comms. "Marcus we have a deteriorating situation at the city center, the police have abandoned their position. Requesting sniper support and possible backup. We can't hold out here for too long. We need support ASAP".

With that Boomer pulled out his machine pistols, they were loaded with rubber bullets and he readied his aim at the nearest rioter.

By the time Drake got there thing where getting pretty bad. ?The hell is wrong with this people? he thought to himself. Drake got to the tank in time to pull a civilian of it, that?s when he hers the pin of two bullet hitting his armor. ?Oh is on now!? Drake deployed his drone, and made it hover about 30feet above the center on the crowd. He then activated the sonic mapping function, and set is at maximum power. Inside their amour the Hellhounds are safe from the sound, but at maximum power, the super sonic sound made every one of the rioter drop to their knees. ?All right boy.? Drake said into the COM let round up all are shooters and cocktailers? and he moved in to the crowd and pulled up a man with a gun still in his hands. To lock up with up he thought.

 

[Kaboose the Moose]

Marcus was just leaving the police compound when he heard Boomer's call for assistance. "Damn it!" he muttered and turned around sprinting back to the compound. He turned to the stunned police captain, "We need more men at the the city center and we need them now".

"There are no other men. I sent all we have to the city square. I only have 4 others here..but" the captain began to say.
"..but?..but what?.. what about them?" Marcus asked impatiently.
"They are rookies, fresh out of the academy. They haven't handled a riot before. They are not ready" The officer began to say. Marcus had already grabbed the 4 recruits and quickly debriefed them about the current situation. "If you abandon your assigned posts or don't follow my orders, I will shoot you myself!" he warned the four rookies. "Are we clear on that?" he asked.

"Sir, yes sir!" came the nervous reply. He then turned to the police captain.

"They have just volunteered for our cause!, do you have any riot gear we can spare?" Marcus pressed.
"Yes, follow me"

The police officer led the group to a garage and opened the doors. Inside lay a water cannon truck and on the walls were several riot gear. "Perfect!" Marcus exclaimed. He tossed them all shields, batons and tear gas launchers and packed the extra in the back of the truck.

"That should do" Marcus said and with a nod to the captain set off.

"This is Marcus to all Hellhounds" he yelled into the comms as he gunned the engine and roared the truck out of the building. "Reinforcements inbound"

The sound of gunfire erupted nearby. The rookies looked visibly nervous as the truck made one wild turn after another as Marcus navigated the streets. The city square loomed ahead and Dakor's tank was clearly visible coming under fire from civilians. Tear gas was thick in the air. Most of the protesters though lay on the ground holding their ears.

"Put your masks on" he said to the rookies as he pulled to a stop next to the tank. "Gather the protesters on the ground and lock em up at the back..and someone man the water cannon, incase the rioters regroup and show up again!"

"Nice job, Drake" he added with a grin turning to the marine.

?Thank you Marcus, can?t put rubber bullets in the drone, but I can still us it, you can do the same gust maximize the power to the sonic mapping function and they will drop like flies, and thank for bring a truck over, I would have hated to carry this entire ass hole to the station.? Said Drake to Marcus. Drake grabbed one of the protesters cuffed him and thru him in the truck. That when he noticed the rookies, cuffing protesters and looking nervous and scared. He went up to them ?Relax kids, this aren?t that bad, count us luck the Zreg aren?t here.? One on the rooks looks at him with real fear and concern,
-Sir did you ever face Zerg before
-I sheer have
-what are they like?
Drake thought a bit before answering the question.
?There the worst kind of enemy, you cant bargain with them you cant reason with them, all they care about is that you are dead, there real monsters and there not easily killed since there are always hundred or thousand of them in one place.
The rooks had a sense of lose in his face and just went back to there work. Luck they did not ask about the Protoss.

Chris was about to rejoin his squad when the comms began crackling.
"Message from the Chief, sir." An officer said to Rick.
"Put him through." The Captain replied.
"We now have a big problem Captain." The Chief said. "Is the Commander still around?"
"Yes sir, he is." Tick replied.
"Good. He also needs to hear this." The Chief said. "Alpha is down. Duke and his team have been attacked by the Zerg while attempting to free Antiga Prime once again from the Son of Korhal."
"They couldn't have just been destroyed that easily." Chris said.
"We lost contact with the Norad II fifteen minutes ago." The Chief said. "Last we heard from them was this : 'Going down... Zerg... Hit... Norad II... Engines failing... Crash landi... repeat... Zerg... tiga Prime...'" The message was full of static.
"We have to go help them." Chris said. "There's no reason for us to still be on this damn planet!"
"You are not cleared to engage the Zerg on Antiga Prime." The Chief said. "We've already sent Delta squad to do it. However we are reassigning the Hellhounds once your current mission is over. We're giving you another month to stop the riots and calm the populace. After which you are to be come back Tarsonis. We expect that the Sons of Korhal may try an open attack on the planet."
"Yes sir." Chris said, dismayed.
The comms went out.
"Looks like we have another month of this shit." He said to Rick.

"Commader are you there, if your not busy, we could us your help out here, to bring in some of the criminal rioters, Drake out". Why is he taking his time, it's like he think we will, be he for a month of somting. Drake said to himself.

Chris got the message from Drake. He ran out of the Cerberus and made his way back to the riot. "God damn." He muttered. There were rioters all over the streets and the Hellhounds were having a hard time trying to cuff them all. "This is bullshit." He said. "There is no way in hell we can subdue all of these people." He walked over to Marcus. "What got them this riled up?" He asked. Before Marcus could answer one of the buildings on the left of the mob exploded and tipped over. It crushed some of the people. "Shit!" Boomer get in there and try to save whoever isn't dead. He then got on top of the tank and spoke to the entire crowd that had gone quiet for a minute. "We do not need more dead innocents. I am sending our medic to help those people. Let him pass through and return to your homes." He said. "We all understand how you feel, but a riot will not help the current situation. Now, go home for the night."
The crowd erupted in anger and shouts. Some picked up what they could and began to throw it at the Hellhounds. Others pulled out weapons. and began shooting. The Hellhounds returned fire but there were too many of them. "I don't have time for this bullshit!" Chris screamed, and a blast of powerful Psi Energy went through the crowd. Everyone fell over in a heap. Chris heard silence for the first time that day.
He then got off the tank and was met by the stares of his squad and the rookies. "They're not dead." He told them, and they seemed to relax a bit. One of the Police Constables then asked; "Do we arrest them all? What are we supposed to do with all these..."
"I don't care!" Chris yelled at him, cutting him off. "Just do it! Squad with me." And he made his way back to the Cerberus.

Feeling the crowd go silent and the unleashing of a psi blast Korbus changed direction, although no need to hurry he continued at pace towards the Cerberus. "Hey, commander, whats got you in such a bad mood. A Psi wave like that is going to leave them with a pretty bad head ache when they wake up, not that i mind."

Drake had not seen chris this unset in a long time, he alwas seemed in control, and calm whatever is was drake bet it was bad news, realy bad news.

Base lowered his weopon after the huge psi blast stopped the crowd "Or we could just do that" he says laughing. Looking over at the commander he felt unnerved. he had known Chris for quite a long time, and the only time he had attacked some one with his mind was in the bar fight quite some years ago. that blast might of crippeled some of the civs but he was willing to make that chance. That thought was scary to even him

"Sir are you ok. What happened" he asks concered but some how knowing that the awnser is just going to put every one else in a bad mood.

Not waiting for a awnser he picks up the ones he witnessed pulling guns at them and puts them in a group waiting for the riot squad to arrive to hand them over.

Boomer rushed into the collapsed building armed with the pistol and medical kit. Most of the rioters were well away from the building when it crashed but the force had sent debris flying through the air injuring several civilians. He attended to the injuries with the tools he had. Most of the casualties had several cuts and some showed signs of concussion but none were lethal.

Working quickly he stitched up the patients with the deeper lacerations and managed to revive those that had been knocked unconscious. He was just finishing up mending the last patient when a powerful psionic wave rushed out knocking everyone backwards stunning them. He turned around to see the Commander walking off.

"What was that all about" Boomer mused.

The squad returned to the Cerberus half an hour later. "Okay." Chris said. "Here's the situation : Antiga Prime was recaptured by the Sons of Korhal and now Alpha is down on the planet. They got shot down by Zerg, and the entire situation has gone to hell. We are not being sent to help, so anyone who thought this was a debrief, you are wrong. Instead we're to stay here, stop the riots, or if were still not done after a month, we're getting shipped back to Tarsonis to help defend the planet." His tone betrayed his annoyance.
"Any questions?" He asked, and before anyone could answer he said; "Good, now get some rest, because we've got another month to spend in this goddamn hellhole. Dismissed."
With that he got up and walked over to the quarters he had been assigned. He took off his armor and layed down on the bed that was in the small room. It contained only a bed, a desk, a chair, and there was a window. The only other room in his quarters was a small bathroom that contained only a toilet, a sink and a shower Chris could barely fit in. "And they call this the luxury suite." Chris muttered to himself after looking at the quarters. "The Military needs to revise their definition of Luxury."

 

[Daye.04]

"Going to hell?" Hagernand Uttered. "They can't honestly expect us to sit around here waiting when it's going to hell there"
Hagernand slammed his fist in his open palm.
"My bet is that Chris'll find a way for us to help them out there. I just know it"
Hagernand sterted heading for his bed

Drake grabbed Hagernand by the shoulder and spun him around so he could look into his eyes.
?Listened kid, you new around here and I can understand the way you think the commander this all mighty god, but the truth is, he not and are orders are to stay here and stop the riots and that just what where gona due. So don?t go bothering Chris about if he has a way to get us of this rock, cause he doesn?t, and if he did it would gust get him in trouble, trust me.?

Drake did not wait for an answer from Hagernand, instead, he went to his room, pulled off his armor and took a look at the map the sonic mapping system had made of the surrounding area. He look at all the places thing could and probably will go wrong in the next month.
