Hello America, one question. Why do you ruin all your best television shows?

I'll be sticking with fairly new shows thanks, I love the Big Bang Theory and with Primeval coming up I'm a happy chappy on T.V.

Oh and one other thing. Do you know a show that Nathion Fillion now plays in?

It's quite enjoyable to watch actually, search it up!

Yes, I mentioned it earlier in the thread. I love Castle. Fillion is awesome. I've been watching every episode online through Megavideo. I have to say my favorite episode so far is the Halloween one. In the beginning of that one he does a little shout out to his work he did on Firefly. He comes out dressed like Mal, and his daughter asks him what he is suppose to be. Castle says, "A space cowboy". And she says, "Try something new, you were doing that 5 years ago." Which happens to be when he was filming Serenity.

Dude,

I once made a whole thread dedicated to references because of that, it made me so warm inside watching Nathan wear that old costume again =D

I remember Firefly... T_T

Firefly, to my knowledge because Fox is full of idiots... (obviously) and they pretty much removed to put more places for Family guy or something.

Don't quote me.

Unless you're quoting the Fox is full of idiots part. That'd be correct.
I am quoting you because Fox has a bunch of idiots behind the wheel. And I will tell you what I have said already in this thread, because people need to know just how idiotic Fox is:

The Sci-Fi channel saw the awesome potential of Firefly and wanted to save it from Fox canceling it. Fox told them no, that they wouldn't sell the rights to a show they weren't ever going to use again.

Yess! I've seen a lot of threads about what people would change if they went back in time. I would go back in time to implant the thought in the heads of the Fox Execs to keep Firefly going. It would also be one of those special loophole time travels, where it only changes one fact in the timeline. We would have many seasons of Firefly, but we would also still have Castle running as well.

Why? Because most people don't know when to quit. If the people who make the show are willing to keep making the show, and the viewing public will keep watching the show, the network will keep renewing the show. Worst offender of that I think would have to be The Simpsons. Something should have happened a long time ago, but because the creators want to make more and people keep watching, Fox keeps renewing it, while of course canceling much better shows. Blah.

I also can't help but wonder how long NBC would have let Law and Order keep running if people had kept watching. Granted, right about the time they canceled it is right about when it was finally starting to be good again, but they kept going during that period when Jerry Orbach left to until they finally had a good cast again near the very end, so who knows how long they would have kept milking that if people had still been watching?

Also, I worry about what is going to happen to Burn Notice during season 5. If you've seen the season 4 finale, then you probably picked up on that giant twist they put in at the end. That was something I didn't expect to see until the end of the show, and yet there it is with season 5 coming this summer and season 6 also already ordered by USA. So that's two seasons they have to find a way to fill with the plot turned upside down. All I can do is hope they pull it off and not turn the show to crap, because for the past few years it's been my favorite show on TV. Please, PLEASE don't ruin it guys. If you do, I'm going to have to go borrow Mister Slicey...

Once a series gets over 7 seasons, it usually sucks anyway. Exception: Friends. Anyone else remember Friends? It was a great show that lasted for 10 great seasons.
I'll agree with Friends being an exception, but for a different reason. Every single episode of Friends sucked, from the series premiere to the series finale. 236 episodes, not a single one worth watching.

i just choose not to watch tv for this exact reason. everything is the same. in relation to the whole plot idea mentioned before, i would rather watch a movie any day, simply because it does have an ending

Then there are comedies (2.5 men, Simpsons etc.) sit-coms, Situational Comedies, they have characters and they have situations. and that's the full extent of the plot
(Charlie is an alcoholic womanizing jingle writer, Alan is a broke divorced father, what mischief can they get up to this episode.)
Hey hey hey! Charlie is now an alcoholic womanizing children's song writer. That's super awesome plot development that makes Two & A Half Men still worth watching!

And of course, for those of you who can't/don't watch, that was pure sarcasm. It's still the same crap, Charlie's job is almost never important to the plot and even when it is, it's almost always just him playing something on his piano.

His job is just an excuse to set the show in Malibu
I really don't care how bad the show gets Berta will always be funny
