So,after some lurking ("some" being like 2 months, maybe more) I finally decided to join the escapist.

As my name implies,i'm (or trying to be) a programmer who happens to play video games, mostly tf2.

Hence,if you need to find me your best bet is fire up TF2,i'm not that hard to find really...

Anyway,see you around escapists.

Hello there, I am Rookie the Honorary cookie guardian of the Escapist. Standard procedure calls for me to confiscate any cookies/cookie related items in your possession. *Snatch*

Don't worry they are safe in my vault, welcome to the escapist and stay out the basement. Play by the rules and you will love it here.

EDIT: Oh and I'll be the first to say it, you can swear as much as you want here.

Fuck, shit, bastard. See how fun it is, as long as you aren't directing it at another user you are fine.

Why hello there... DAT NAME! My heart skipped a beat when I saw the title and the name in the thread index. Don't do this, man! Word of advice, next time you join a new community, don't try to scare other members to death. It's just not nice.

Read the Code Of Counduct, avoid the basement and all that jazz, hell if you've lurked here you've probably seen a thread saying this stuff. But anyway, WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!!! I mean The Escapist forums.

Welcome new friend! As mentioned above, read the Code of Conduct. If you want to meet people you should join a User Group.

OT: Welcome. Stay away from religion and politics, it's very scary.

Welcome to the Escapist.
You'll notice soon enough most of the things and since you try to be a programmer? I bet finding out all about spoilers and embedding youtube videos won't be to hard, otherwise just ask, people are helpful here!

Please stand still sir. I need to scan you with this spambot scanner, to make sure you're a real person and not one of them.
He needs to take his clothes off too right?

I'm pretty sure that's the only way it works.

[sub][sub]At least, that's what they told me when I had it done...[/sub][/sub]

Hi there! Nice to meet you! Stay out of the basement and all that jazz, and maybe religion and politics, it's a scary place over there. Welcome! If you need any help with embedding and fonts and things, just ask, we're a friendly bunch.

[HEADING=1]Welcome to the Escapist![/HEADING]

Stay out of the basement, give monthly tributes to the mods, don't be an ass and have fun! I will post links to articles you should read about how we do things here.

The rules you need to know. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/codeofconduct]

A guide on how to avoid mod wrath. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.112832-The-Banhammer-and-You-A-Users-Guide-to-the-Forums]

You can find almost all the advice you'll ever need here. There's a guide to posting commands here too. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.202272-The-Escapist-Community-and-Forums-Codex-Index-Guides]

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for giving me a chance to use my new user greeting. Had to wipe the dust off of it seeing as it was obsolete after a few site updates. I hope you find some great friends and have some interesting discussions, I know I have.

Well to be honest this introduction is a little unnecessary, but colour me interested; What do you program, video games, security software?

I'm still in university (computer science),that's why i said "or trying to be" a programmer, nonetheless i'm playing around with D3D11 making little projects(i wouldn't call them games, but close).
I hope to get in the industry some day,but we'll see about that.
