So I'm an RPG gamer, and from time to time I find myself strolling through the real world thinking,

"What Would Link Do?"

I see a box, a pot, a vase, a kitchen draw, a laundry dryer, a barrel or a small bush and I ponder, "...there could money in that." I walk around the supermarket, continuous upgrading my items; trading the smaller bottle of milk I previously put in my trolley for the bigger one I've just seen on the shelf.

And I'm a fanatical horde. I see a rock on the ground and pick it up and say to myself, "I know it looks like junk NOW, but it could come in handy later.." or a paintbrush or a lemon, and carry them around in my bag.. just in case.

.. Am I alone?

Your in a forum filled with gamers.

I'm still testing out my theory of killing turtles by jumping on their heads.

Green shell worked, still have to find a red one.

Zelda games are no RPG's! I WILL DESTROY YOU.

Just kidding.

OT: If I play the Sims too much I get really impatient with how long it takes to do everyday things. I wish I could wash the bathtub in 10 seconds.

Sometimes after playing Morrowind for hours on end, I'll get off and still be thinking like my character for a while. For example, I imagined one Imperial character I played as being incredibly racist against the Dunmer, and, after playing, I couldn't find something and thought "some damn dunmer probably stole it" for a second, before laughing loudly at the sheer immersion of that game to be able to draw me in and keep me there.

I'm gonna say yes.

Although I looked at a coin laundry the other day, and thought:
I'm glad I have a washer and dryer in the basement, now, so I don't have to go to one of those anymore.
But I'm not sure if that counts.

I've never done that. And the mental image of Link running around breaking pots in a market while the police chase him is hilarious.

I've caught myself looking at flowers and wondering what their alchemical properties might be after playing too much Oblivion.

Sometimes when i play the game whole day, in sleep i still play it, in my mind.

Also, i sometimes try to pick up something, with my mind. Maybe some day it will work?

I'll often ask myself "what would I do if a zombie came at me right now?" and tried to figure out the situation in my mind. My boyfriend and I can also get into hour long conversations about zombie apocalypse and the best plan of action for it.

Um... Legend of Zelda is not an RPG.

OT: Yes, quite often. The most memorable was after playing Splinter Cell for the first time, every time I was out at night I would see the lamps and thing to myself, "I have to shoot that out!" Then I realized there was no need for stealth (and I didn't have a gun anyway).
