Hi guys,

I already asked some days ago in the wrong thread, so I'm reposting to have your take on a new build. ;-)
Thanks for your patience and help.

I'm an almost total noob who wants to build a new gaming pc, having sold his e8400 / 8800 GT.
The monitor is the LG W2363D-PF, so 120Hz and 1080p.
My objective is to have a very capable computer right off the bat, and being able to have an upgrade path in the future.
What about this setup? I'm italian, so don't worry about the ? prices and strange names ^_^

It all seems pretty solid and I can't really fault it. All I would say is to make it really future proof make sure you have usb 3.0 hubs on the motherboard :D

Other than that it's the kind of PC im looking forward to building in the summer, you wont have any trouble running games on that, and it seems pretty future proof!

All I would say is see if you can get the components cheaper on different sites, (always cross check prices, just to be safe!).

I'm considering staying with P67 as a mobo and building on an Asrock Extreme4...

Ssd caching only supports ssds with up to 80gb space so you will have to slit that ssd in two partitions and I would recommend that you go with OCZ Vertex 3 if possible considering its the fastest ssd on the market with (550mbit/s read 500mbit/s write.

I've got a ssd with 120gb space and I can fit pretty much all the games I play often on it so I would argue ssd caching isnt really needed with so "much" space

If you don't need an IGP then stay with P67.

Also drop down to 4GB of RAM.

Also 800w is overkill; you could get by on 650w.

You're right, I put in 800w just to be ready for a possibile SLI in the future... is it not worth it?

The Vertex 3 rox butttttt.... it's REALLY expensive, 40-50% more than the crucial. :-(
What about this OCZ Agility 3? http://www.ekey.it/prod-ssd-ocz-agility-3-120gb-25-lettura-525mbs-scrittura-475mbs-sata3-agt3-25sat3-120g-18309.htm

750w is fine for 570 SLI by itself. However, 800w+ would be good since you're overclocking.

Speaking of which, you'll need a good HSF. I recommend the Hyper 212+

Tnx Kabutos!
I'm thinking about dropping the SSD and install it later, when it's cheaper...

I would stick with 800w psu if you are going to oc and imo you can never have to much watt! :=)

And the Agility 3 seems to be very good idd.. I would read a benchmark test on it tho.

I would stay with 8gb ram.

Thanks all! :)

...or I could go with a dual PCI Asrock Extreme4 and start with a 570, planning on adding a second one later... ^^

Bump up to 750w and drop down to 4GB of RAM. Also a single 570 should be able to max out pretty much everything.
