So I am in my final year of Uni studying comedy (Yes you can study that) and I am doing my dissertation on how the internet has influenced mainstream comedy. I am focusing primarily on YouTube and YouTube personalities, so, if you would be so kind, link me to the youtubers you find funny.

To try and make this as helpful as possible I will keep an edited list of the people I am looking at already:

SomeGreyBloke
AngryAthiest
Yahtzee
Tobuscus
Jon Lajoie

JoJo

I personally find this guy "SomeGreyBloke" or "Graham" hilarious, some of his videos are better than others

Really you can study comedy?

Sounds like a fun dissertation, unlike mine which was on radical feminist writings of witchcraft history and their importance within witchcraft historiography.

Well if you did outside of youtube, Red Letter Media's Plinkett reviews are absolutely brilliant.

Youtube comedy I enjoy is stuff like two best friends play, Penguinz0 or Critikal, Day Job Orchestra, Little Kuribohs abridged series' etc. Not exactly youtube personalities but all very funny and have their own style of comedy. DJO being the most brilliantly weird.

Recently watched these and found them to be very funny.

Unfortunately these aren't YouTube comedies, they're from an old British sketch show :)

Thanks for all the other suggestions, keep them coming. I am focusing down on YouTube due to word limits, otherwise I could write forever on the force of the internet.

Yeah, you can study it, only at Southampton Solent in the Uk though, only comedy course in the world! :p

I like the How it should have ended series, a great little series of cartoons taking the mick out of famous movie plotlines:

This is one of the early ones. They originated on Youtube and gained popularity until now they have their own site

Also, Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation series originally started on Youtube.

Also, Tobuscus;' vids are mainly gossipy stuff, but he has a few hilarious vids about Facebook game spoof adverts:

Thanks, Yahtzee is a great one I didn't even think of.

I've seen one or two of the How It Should have endeds before, only problem is I'm trying to focus on personalities, so, while they might get a mention I can't really use them in the main swathe of writing.

Also, Tobuscus, I forgot his name, thank you for that ^^

I think this girl's pretty funny. Her vids are hit and miss, but I think she's cool.

Granted, LPs haven't really made a big cultural impact, but it IS a sort of sub-genre of the gaming videos on the website, and that one in particular has particularly youtube-esque humor.
