Get at least six hours sleep and some revision.
If you're really worried about focusing, take a container of coffee with you and drink two/three cups before going in.

It is at this point I realise how old this thread is... oh well, it'd be a shame to waste these beautiful words.

Sleep is the best thing in the world before a test. All the studying you do won't mean shit if you're too tired to be able to concentrate to access that information.

1. Get away from electronic visual stimulation. No TV. No computer. None of that. It keeps your brain too active.

2. Read for about 20 minutes. A *fun* book. Not your text book.

3. When your mind has settled a bit, lie down face up on your bed, slightly spread-eagle. Not enough that you feel a stretch on your muscles, but enough so that your arms and legs aren't touching each other or other parts of your body.

Starting with your feet, clench those muscles as tight as you can (doing both sides of the body at once) for a count of ten, then slowly release them over another count of ten. Repeat for all the muscle groups in your body. Make sure you do your chin and forehead as well. A lot of tension gets carried in the feet and face.

This will relax your body.

4. Curl up and get a good night's rest.
