Help free Eric Frimpong

This might of been done before but he needs more attention, and this is late but he's serving 6 years.

So here's the deal, white girl with an almost lethal level of alcahol in her system calls rape on Eric, a black immigrant. There is no evidence of Eric commiting this crime, HOWEVER the girl had traces of semen on her underwear, which was proven to be from her 'jealous' ex-boyfriend and she also had bite marks on her - that didn't match Eric's jaw but resembled those of the ex-boyfriend. This white ex-boyfriend was never even a suspect. Eric was an aspiring athlete just getting drafted into the MLS, he was also an immigrant so threfore unable to defend himself properly, he claimed though ' The system will sort this out '. The system failed him, there is no real evidence he did rape her. Innocent until proven guilty ?
Not if you're a black immigrant apparently.

Yes, the guy got screwed and I want to get him out but I find it amusing that the only reason we know about this is because he was an athelete. So basically, immigrants can't defend themselves and are therefore screwed unless they have athletic talent. That seems even more messed up.

That's not the case, it's just showing that this guy had an aspiring future and wouldn't of commited such a crime but just read the article and make you're own mind up.

I wouldn't call the 'system' racist, as the 'system' is indeed so opposed to causing racism that it tends to tip-toe around different races and 'colours'. He was probably in the worng place at the wrong time. You can rebel all you like, the 'system' is not at fault. Individuals however, probably have more of a hand in this. That doesn't make it okay to blame an innocent man though.

If anything though, this means we have to change our sexual assault laws a bit. The supposed "victims" have too much power in the matter.

We're not trying to help him because he's black, we're trying to help him due to the injustice.
