Is there a way to drop quests or quest items in skyrim? I ask because I am trying to RP the game and I got a quest which seemed at first something I would do, but I later found out things that made me change my mind. And there is no way to complete the quest that would fit what my character believes.

You can't drop quest items or cancel quests in skyrim, it's mainly so you don't accidentaly sell off the important macguffin that's needed later and screw yourself over.

Some minor quests can be cancelled by killing the quest-giver.

You can put quest items into storage though, which would fit if you are RP'ing the character - just throw that dragon claw into the back of a cupboard in your house and try not to think about it.

I haven't played Skyrim in a while, but I'm thinking the console is your best bet.

removeitem
Removes the specified amount of an item from a character's inventory. E.g. player.removeitem 000669A5 5 will remove five leeks from your player's inventory. Changes to an NPC's inventory will usually appear immediately if you're pickpocketing them when you open the console.

Thank goodness for that. I was being kept awake at night worrying about having five extra leeks in my inventory.

I am glad someone has finally addressed the growing leek menace.

;)

Also, Growing Leek Menace is my new band name. No one else take it.

The Bard's Quests are broken because you can't remove the instruments you obtain in the quests. It's really annoying.

Shit, man, don't anger the leeks. They'll cause allergic reactions and poke your eyes out.
