ONE PIECE! Seriously I'm addicted. If you haven't seen Cowboy Bebop: Go. Now. Watch.
Wolf's Rain, Afro Samurai and Lupin the 3rd are also good.

My favourite AMV is the best AMV:

CowboyBebop - Boxer

Oh yeah! Contains a big spoiler. :p

I've always loved anime. Not just because it's anime, but the storytelling and concepts blow me away.

Recently I've sorta regained my passion and I looked into a few things. I'm only going to drop two things for you guys, first of all would be my favorite anime, which is Beck... by a long shot.
My favorite AMV (anime music video) is Jihaku's AMV for The foo fighters' "Best of you"

Tell me your favorite anime and AMV, I'm looking for new material

Fixed it for you.
Grats, have a troll cookie
Actually, I will help myself to a big helping of Grammar Nazi cookies.
Back to 4chan with you, go on now.
Never used 4chan, never plan to.
Good man. That place is the cesspit of the internet. No one goes there and returns unchanged. Just viewing one thread there might be enough to convert you into a /b/tard.

Especially if it was Goatse.exe.

Fate/Stay Night.

UBW is the coolest thing in anime that I've seen for a long time.

"I am the bone of my sword, steel is my body and fire is my blood"

I will remember this line forever.

Well so ultra violence isn't a problem Berserk is pure awesome.
So in light of this, I heartily recommend Hellsing. It's also rather good.
And I almost forgot Afro Samurai, style+violence+Samuel L Jackson=Awesome.

If you liked Grenadier check out Trigun, the themes are similar. Though Trigun has less boobage.

If you liked Paranoia Agent check out Paprika and Millenium Actress, they're both movies by that guy.

FLCL is brillaint madness, watch it in English if you can, it's actually better in English because all of the references are Northamericanized and it works really well. (Laughs at the Crystal Pepsi Joke)

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is great if you like Super Robots and Craziness.

Yeah Afro Samurai is really good. I watched the whole thing on Bravo over about 3/4 hours. (I think)

I've often said that Yu Yu Hakusho was not only my favorite anime but my favorite thing ever! But now it's over. Well, I could recommend One Piece. Either the Funimation english version or Japanese with subtitles. For gods sake not the 4 Kids version. Also Hellsing Ultimate or the Hellsing anime. Gurren Lagann is pretty good.

I don't really like AMV's but one of the 300 trailer with video from One Piece is freaking amazing!

My recommendation is Full Metal Panic season 1, season 2 (second raid) and Fummoffu. It's pure genius.

Galletea has suggested the Berserk anime. I would disagree, and suggest that if you are interested in Berserk, to read the manga. The anine mainly covers the back story arc, which is done amazingly, but has more impact in its manga version, in my opinion. Kentaro Miura is an amazing artist and story teller.

Edit. Urotsukodoji is indeed a hentai title. Legend of the Overfiend. Not my cup o tea, but go for it if you like demons and tentacles that violate.

Urotsukidoji - It will warp your mind man!

Still check it.
Isn't this porn?
It's pretty impressive if you're 14, but it's not exactly deep. Shocking imagery, though.

If you liked Paranoia Agent go for Satoshi Kons other work
Perfect Blue, Paprika & Millennium Actress.
Requiem From The Darkness is pretty good is is Red Garden.

Sky Blue, Spriggan and Grave of The Fireflies are all pretty special.

Afro Samurai rocks!

It really is awesome. I think watching it once you've seen the first season of Full Metal Panic is even better considering you know the characters a lot more. Sagara is just a dude!

The manga is indeed well and truly awesome, I was merely applauding the fact that the op likes the anime, which in my opinion captures that part of the story almost perfectly.

I found the first season "wanting" in that it really lacked any concrete direction but yeah, Fummoffu is a LOT funnier if you've seen the first season first because then you know the characters.

The brilliant Hot Springs makes me laugh just thinking about it.
