help me identify some anime?

hiya folks! was just talking to a friend about anime when the memory of a couple full length movies as a child came up.

movie 1:

The premise of it from my recollection: Earthlings were starting to colonize mars, the 'angels' (i think, they took the form of Christian like deity's/angels) the creators of man didn't take to kindly to this as earth was designated to them and decided to exterminate them.

more spoiler: there blowing up cities at a time, everythings going to shit..and blablabla i remember human resistance flying ships towards this giant sphere like station covered in rock, quipping puns on religion, they were shooting pods of soldiers into this structure to infiltrate the base. The main character ends up in this dark cave and when confronting the boss it turns into this crazy psychedelic trip, and he ends up killing his girlfriend....

Idunno! i'm trying to recollect this as little me.

But is any of this ringing any sort of bell? i was suggested neon genesis but i'm pretty positive that's completely different. It was just one of those nifty feature length films that you'd pick up from your movie store's eastern anime section.

movie 2:

Another one was were this highschool/college/uni class was on this field trip to the eiffel tower, everything leading up to it seemed innocent, and cute....boy laying out on a hillside with girlfriend spilling his dreams of this nice house that he's going to build as an architect.

Anyways there on the Eiffel tower having a picnic when these demons from some other realm invade and start slaughtering everyone.....boy get's teleported to this dark realm, and things just continue to go to shit.

movie 3: It has to do with a woman dying on a cruise ship and returning as a phantom..something to do with chocolate, you've got all of these amphibian folk tale-ish demons spawning and fucking shit up!

Just thought this might be interesting, just some shows i've been meaning to re watch as older me. Get the nostalgia glasses on, and such. I probably wasn't able to look at cartoons the same ever again because of these..lol! I was so young i can hardly recollect them beyond the 'pleasant' dreams they inspired...xD this was the stuff you'd find in the 'eastern anime' section in a local video rental spot.

Any ideas?

that could very well.....i can vaguely remember the boy and this entity talking on a moon or some similarly desolate planet. i'm positive it was feature length film. got a name for that one?

The only one that seems even slightly familiar to me is the first one, which sounds almost roughly like Blue Gender... but without the angels or colonising Mars. What you describe sounds kinda interesting, but nothing I've ever seen or heard of.

If you go by the first sentence only perhaps. The rest of the description pretty much makes that null seeing as they do not colonise Mars or anything even remotely along those lines.

Also a good idea when "helping" somebody to give the full name of the thing, seeing as they clearly do not know them by name.

The first one sounds amazing. It sounds like someone took Evangelion, The Venus Wars, Mobile Suit Gundam and that one Italian Star Wars knockoff, mixed them together, and made it into a movie.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what any of the three movies actually are.

Edit: Oh, and the second one has kind of a similar premise to Tokko, but it's definitely not Tokko. Tokko was entirely based in Japan, for one thing. Well, unless the last few episodes involved shift in location. I had to stop watching animonday during its run because Summer vacation ended and I couldn't stay up until 2 AM on a week night anymore. Either way, it doesn't start with a class trip to Paris.

I agree....I think the OP's memory may be fuzzy cause all of those elements are in Blue Gender even if they aren't explained correctly

i'm positive 1) is a totally different show, the one i had in mind had a more gi-joe/star ship troopers meets doom (but angels instead of demons from hell) It had adult protagonists, nothing to do with gundam/mechs. It was more to do with marines, and such. The angel antagonists literally took the form of angels with halo's on there heads, and things of the like.

and 3) is definitely different...no goku, krillen, gohan, piccollo or dragon balls or anything of the like. I think one of the main plot devices were chocolates...ehhh... i don't know..ahh lol

thanks guys! I think these are just really obscure shows. I'll post them if i can find them, but that hasn't been working out so far. xD

yeah i don't think it could be either Blue gender or Armitage III. Memories fuzzy of course, but the whole vibe was just really distinct from those.

Scenes i can recollect are:

Big beams wiping out cities at a time, following a broadcast from these angelic overlords stating that earth has fucked up, they shouldn't have moved beyond earth as that was what they were designated to...some other biblical talk... It was like something intentionally made to mess with christian kids...hehehe i wasn't one but that stuff got to me..

other random bits involved:
an intense sex scene were the lady friend ends up clawing the shit out of his back....not like a this was some seriously great sex, but more like a possessed by some etheral race of angels...although being so young i could probably have misinterpreted that LOL! i'm positive though!

had another scene were they escaped from an island on a speed boat, and there listening to a tape recording of one of his apparent friends giving him that "if your listening to this then already dead"

another was when they were going to infiltrate the big sphere asteroid looking base they were shooting cylinder pods full of soldiers that were meant to dig through the outer surface, only one of them seemed to have made it (with the main character) breaching into a big corridor. The other pods not so successful just crumpling up with all the men inside.

Reading the response I really want to find out the 1st one now! It was just a really peculiar show.

I always had fond memories of just putting in the cassette, and watching those anime company intro's and knowing that i was going to watch something that was going to completely fuck my mind.

I personally think 2) or 3) are kind've lost causes. but i REALLY want to find out what 1) is.

2nd one is from the Tenchi muyo series, I'm fairly sure about that. It's called Tenchi the Movie: Tenchi Muyo in Love. As for the other two, I have no idea but I would love to see the first one. It sounds awesome.

What he said is what I think it is. The situation was that this was a field trip to the tower in question...in the main character's past where Kain - shown above - has traveled back in time to end the family line that was respnsible for his original capture. He was going to kill Tenchi's mother to change history. (NOTE: Kain is so powerful that the time paradox wouldn't even touch him.) This movie depends highly on you knowing the show itself.
