Zero Punk and AVGN are the only video game reviewers I follow, and it's not so much that I'm interested in the games they review, it's that they are hilarious and interesting personalities with well constructed opinions and an extensive knowledge of gaming. I can't stress enough the importance of a good stage personality, clear speaking voice, and intelligent writing. Nothing turns me off a video review more than bland amateurism.
Also, there are plenty of people out there who talk about games in front of webcams, it doesn't hurt to have some special kind of shtick that separates you from them. For instance, AVGN sticks to retro games, uses special effects and performs skits, and ZP is incredibly harsh and quick-spoken with stylized characters.
So, I'd be willing to watch if you're willing to make it worth watching.
