Base Titles

Technomancer - Through long and hard research you have discovered the means of combining technology with the arcane. You can now influence technology using magic (eg you gun now fires magic missles) and use technology as a catalyst for spells (eg instead of teleporting, you can pick up the phone and travel through the phone line to your destination)

Grease Monkey - Gain bonuses to repair and mechanical skills.

Metal Head - After an accident, part of your skull was replaced with titanium providing your brain with better protection than your skull - chance to re-roll to avoid criticals.

I See Dead People - Yo can see and talk to ghosts and can petition them for assistance. You can also see the signatures of a mortal's life and passing; Holding something important to a person will make you see visions of them interacting with the object and walking into a place where a murder took place will cause you to see visions of the act in progress.

Master of Disguise - Gain bonuses to skills related to social interaction, impersonating people and forgery.

Man/Woman of Mystery - You have absolutely no reputation outside of certain sinister organisations of good or evil. Your life is a mystery to all. There's a good chance your character's name is not their real name and you are quickly forgotten by most. Your reputation/infamy never rises and should something of significance happens your organisation erases all evidence of your passing.

Sharpshooter - By skipping a turn and taking your time to aim you gain a bonus to hit. Should you succeed you can choose where you hit your target.

Trained Athlete - You gain bonuses to all athletic based skills and increased constitution.

Epic Titles (Need to have other related titles or really high level or do something pretty damn cool!)

Olympian Presence - You gain bonuses to all physical attributes Strength, Dexterity, Constitution and Charisma. Your reputation doubles.

Hail to the King Baby! - Everything you hit suffers an automatic critical. Your reputaion doubles. Members of the opposite sex are irresistably drawn to you. Your enemies fear you.

Virtuoso - Choose one proffesional, non-combat related skill. When using this skill you automatically succeed.

Blade of the Immortal - The spirit of a long dead warrior seems to have made it's home within you. You can now use any bladed weapon with the skill of a weapons master. If you are critically wounded in battle there is a chance the spirit will possess your body (similar to a barbarian frenzy). The spirit will continue to possess your body untill you are healed or until the danger has passed.

You know, looking through the thread again, I just thought I would mention I'm working on a homebrew RPG of my own, and I see a lot of good ideas here. I may bookmark this thread and come back to it when I need to put together my own feat list. Thanks, guys!

P.S. Mine's actually based on a d100 percentage chance of anything happening, and that goes for EVERYTHING: skills, saves, combat, all that. There is a base percentage chance for all rolls, either listed or decided by the DM, then stats and other factors raise and lower the chance, which one must roll below to accomplish. You want lower rolls in my game. It's still in the early-mid production stages, though.

What genre? Or a generic rule set?

I got a book on game design recently and can't wait to get cracking on it myself once I'm a bit less busy.

The problem with this idea is think how many "titles" a higher level character would have. But whatever, my idea would be Non-Euclidean, which confuses enemies that look at you.
I'm looking at about 15 or so titles over a characters life, Thats 30 levels and I was looking at levels coming every other play session or so giving characters about a year to play (60 weeks assuming weekly play) power levels are meant to be so high it is almost silly.

lv1 characters could compete in the Olympics and do well in most events
lv10 characters can outrun horses and stop raging bulls with their bare hands
lv20 characters could match superman in speed and power
lv30 nothing shy of a deity can even pose a threat to the characters

hope that helps.

Berserkergang: Player gets a very large strength and damage boost, but looses armour class (or whatever equvalient) to make them more vulnerable to attack.

Somethings Fishy: Player is immune to drowning, can survive underwater indefinately.

Gimme Six: due to inbreeding player has six fingers and six toes, higher accuracy and agility, but more susceptible to poison/radiation/telemarketing

Yeah... dont have much of a clue what your really going for, but if you want ideas, ill throw some in.

Title: Gyverism - Can make makeshift weapons, armor, or tools out of various items. the Gyvered item only lasts for a little while, and has low stats. Can be leveled up 2 times, with each level, your items last longer and have better stats. At each level, you can also choose to either boost the durability of an item you made, or boost its stats. So you can either make it last much longer, or have much better stats than it would at level 3 Gyverism.

Title: Battle Mage - Allows magic users wield martial weapons and cast magic without penelties. This would be a high level Title, most likely.

Title: Spellweave - Allows magic users to combo up to three spells together for varied effects.

Title: Suppressed Fire - Allows Rouge type and ranged type characters to delever range attacks from bows, crossbows or guns, without alerting any guards or enemies.

Title: Focused Rage - When a melee character has low enough health, they will suddenly enter into a rage, healing themselves to about 50% of their maximum health, gaining a increase resistance to physical and magical damage, and an increase in attack power. At a cost however, of being unable to tell friend from foe, plus, their health boost also vanishes once the rage is over. so if they lost additional health, they could very well passout/die from their wounds.

Hope these help..
