Welcome to the club of idiot brothers and don't worry about him being kicked off Live, the worst they can do is suspend them for a week, but what they probably will do is force him to change his name for free. This has actually been an exploited thing in which people ask friends to report their name so they can change it for free and avoid buying a new name.

Seriously Microsoft, what the hell? We already spend money to use the system, couldn't you at least let us alter how people see us for free?

I can't see how this would be offensive because, generally, a gamertag applies only to the person in question so if someone wishes to call themselves "MoneyCrazedJew", people are just going to assume that is what he [believes he] is.

If a stink is raised, how much are you betting that all the complaining will be done by people who are neither jewish or even know anyone who is jewish and that that the majority of jews couldn't give a flying fuck?

If it was something less personal or something worded so that it applies to others then a shit-storm might be more warranted. Something like "NaziSympathiser" or "GodHatesFags" for example. Merely adding an "s" to his gamertag making it "MoneyCrazedJews" might start pushing the boundaries too because it now refers to jews in general rather than an individual.

In the end, if he wants to call himself "MoneyCrazedJew", even though he isn't, fine. I call myself "MajorWard" although the closest I ever got to achieving rank was being a Leading Cadet in the ATC. No-one from the armed forces has complained...

It's not worth getting into a flap over.

My friend has a steam account called JewHunter. Gets a lot of abuse so I think he stopped using it

I've got a problem.

My brother recently changed his X-box Live account name from 'PatMcMan55' to 'MoneyCrazedJew'. He's a 16 year old Catholic black kid, one of his friends is Jewish, and they have a running inside joke that this is based on. I personally find it a bit offensive and fear that someone will find it VERY offensive and will make a stink about it. I don't want to see him get kicked off X-box Live for being an idiot.

I'm completely serious and I'm looking for advice (I'm not trying to cause offense either).

What should I say to him, I know he's not intending to be offensive, rude, or troll.
Or am I overreacting?
Idiot? Dude, your brother is awesome! Ask him if it's worth being banned over. If he doesn't listen, sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

You should smack him across the back of the head. Further than that, you're overreacting, let him have his fun with the inside joke.
