Hey I just got a message on PSN, saying I was randomly chosen to Beta test 3 games. I went to the website, and it seems kind of, well fake. What do you think? I don't really want to sign up for anything and I think it is fake.

This is the website it gave me: http://www.sonybetacommunity.tk/

Its fake, a legit Sony website would actually have the sony logo, and the chinese characters on the url image have no reason to be there. Plus the terriable layout looks like it was done by a year 12 ICT student (me)

You might want to report this to someone so they can stop it before others are suckered into it.

it looks VERY fake. theres spelling and grammma errors, and the games arent even made by the same company...

just as a finish, which company would just take a random person and give him access to like 10 betas?

Has anyone else gotten this message? I thought it was kinda weird when I saw GTA: Boston on the list. I didn't even know they were making a Boston GTA game.

Ignore it and try to find some way to report it.
It looks extremely fake and I could of made a more convincing website.

Well the .tk part is either from a rerouting service or the domain name of some remote islands owned by New Zealand. Just go with the old addage of, if it looks too good to be true it probably is. Ignore the message.
.tk is a type of website you can use. My old forums used a .tk.

Don't do it I've been part of Betas before and what they would do is send you an e-mail with a redeem code for you to input in the PSN Store.
That is very fake.

I was so happy that I got chosen for something, that I wasn't paying attention to the WOW background, the spelling errors, and how unbelievable the list is.
On a side note: How did this guy get my PSN account?

Maybe someone should email them with tips how to make their scam believable...

You probably played a game with/against him online, and he got your name from there.
Not that hard really, anyone could probably do a similar thing to at least 50 if they checked their "recently played with" or whatever that folder is called.

Well, it's been gone over already, but given that the site was just such a poor effort I can't really not comment.

If anybody actually falls for this...well, somebody out there is bound to, there's always somebody gullible enough.

Edit: Started watching the video on the website and I couldn't help but laugh when, at about 0:40 seconds in, it tells you to go to page 11. Tough call, as there are clearly only 6 pages worth of choices. :p
