I am looking for a new series to read. I am reading the Dresden files now and the Felix Castor books which I both enjoy. But I like to change things up between books.

Wanted to know what are some of the better series out there. I wanted to start on the Riftwar saga but they do not have it for Kindle yet and my shelves are packed.

Can anyone recommend a good series to get started on? I would most appreciate It.

Thanks!

If you are interested in Warhammer 40K then either the Horus Heresy or Gaunts Ghost's. Both brilliant.

Are The Dresden Files any good, My missus is reading them I am wondering whether I should as well as she also loves the Twilight Saga.

The Night Angel Trilogy, by Brent Weeks. Good fight scenes, and an amazing story with lots of emotion. It's like Assassins Creed...a bit.

It's not a series, but did you ever read A Confederacy of Dunces? It has been proven-- several times now, I believe-- to be the single funniest work in all of human history. I'd give it a go if I were you.

As for actual series...I'm just gonna raffle off the popular ones and say The Lightning Thief Sequence, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and the Inheritance cycle. Actually, I'm lying through my teeth about that last one; stay far away from that franchise if you know what's good for you.

I have read some of the Heresy Books they are pretty good, but I am taking a break from them at the moment.

I really enjoy the Dresden books. No sparkle vampires in it at all, they have the real ones.

Only series?

-The Vorkosigan Saga, by Lois McMaster Bujold (space opera; I'm rereading these now, and oh boy I do love them so)
-The Hungry City Chronicles, by Philip Reeve (YA steampunk)
-Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, by Tad Williams (epic fantasy)
-The Gormenghast novels, by Mervyn Peake (fantasy of manners)
-The Chrestomanci books by Diana Wynne Jones (YA fantasy, super charming
-This one's not a series, but The Likeness and In The Woods by Tana French (police procedurals, really good)

Basically about a 5000 year old vampire, who discovers she isn't the only one still on earth. It's very interesting, and my favorite book series ever.

I dunno; I don't follow the movies.

Good job on whoever recommended Warriors, though; those books are a nice way to kill time, even if they have a chance of spontaneously turning you into a (mental) central American schoolgirl.

Try "Pendragon" by Machale. Really good sci-fi/fantasy series. Only problem is that it spans ten whole books. I suggest you at least pick up the first one, "Merchant of Death", to see if it interests you enough to keep reading.
