Okay...so first and foremost I need someone to help me figure out an issue with DOSBox or D-Fend.

I recently downloaded a .rar file containing the data required for me to play Darklands, which my dad has been raving on about being the best RPG of all time, figured I'd give it a whirl.

Anyway I can get as far as running the installer in D-Fend and DOSBox, however in the installer it tells me to insert the floppy for the game to install. How is it that it can't detect all the files in the directory I have designated as the drive for it to read the data from? @.@

If anyone has experience using either of these programs and can help me, it would be GREATLY aprpeciated

I use DOSBOX
You need to type Z: or something to mount the drive you want (the folder with the games)
Also you can't have your game as a .rar file, you need to extract the game so it is an .exe file so when you look at your directory (dir) it will be there.
Hope that helps.

With DOSBox, yes I have it extracted. For D-Fend it can import everything from the rar.

I'll try that...though I am sure that is what i am doing.
