Help with new laptop biuld.

Ok, basically im considering making an investment in an Alenware M15x laptop. Problem is they can only be ordered online and i know little to nothing about computers apart from brand names.

So if theres a nerd someone who happens to know about this sort of thing what should i outfit it with? Currently i think i might be able to get as much as £1300 investment towards it.

Alienware makes good laptops. No arguement there. However, they are very overpriced. There are plenty of other equally good choices from lots of different brands. Myself, I'm a fan of Acer. You get a lot of machine for the price and they have stepped up the quality over the past few years. Just remember, the more powerful the laptop, the shorter the battery life.

One thing you will notice is almost every escapist will say avoid alienware, but they make fine laptops/desktops if you are willing to pay that much. How you spend your money is your choice (plus alienware computers look pretty fancy to boot...) but there are cheaper things if you want to look.
