Just thought of something. I think I've found why the USA hated the film Borat so much. It was nothing to do with the fact that he basically took the piss out of the country (let's face it, other people do much worse and you don't get up in arms about it, hell, even American comedians take the piss out of your country, and they live there...). No, it was simply because of the reactions of so many. Like the anti-Semitic and racist views that the Texans showed in the scene with the rodeo, or in New York where so many people started swearing at 'Borat' when he spoke to them, and basically acted really unfriendly. Admittedly I didn't get those same impressions when I met people in Florida, but the fact is that the reactions in Borat were real reactions from real people and it cast you Americans in an unfavourable light. Those reactions can't be denied, and you simply hate that anyone should show, at least some, Americans for what they truly are.
