No offense, but this doesn't seem like much of a dilemma. Does "doing something" about it only translate to either killing him or giving him self-help courses?

I'd just treat them ethically, like I would any other human being, and speak nothing of it. Of course, I'd take the proper precautions for defense of myself and my loved ones anyway - but that's just good sense.
