did people miss the point about lelouch being a VILLAIN protagonist ?
he's not a hero that comes out strangely evil
he's a villain that comes out looking strangely good because he is fighting WORST villains most of the time
he doesn't really count

the "good guys" from Jurassic park 2: the lost world
the "heroes" are responsible for every single death in the movie because they are the reason everyone has to track to the otherside of the island while hunted by dinosaurs

Light Yagami.

I'd like to nominate Marche from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. He finds himself in a dreamworld where all his friends have the one thing they wanted most - his crippled brother has functional legs, his downtrodden friend is the highest authority in all the land, he himself has confidence. He interacts with the denizens of this dreamworld on a daily basis, and finds that they're as deep and real as the people back home, with thoughts and feelings and aspirations of their own.

And what does he do? He tries to get back home, despite having everything he's ever wanted.

He discovers that the only way to do this is to destroy the Macguffins holding the world of Ivalice together. They're literally called The World Thread. Whenever he encounters anyone else from his old home, they beg him to stop, to stay here, where they're happy. People who are aware of The World Thread beg him to not destroy their world.

Does he listen? Fuck no, you're coming home. Doned, better say goodbye to your legs, 'cos you're going back to the wheelchair. Mewt? I know you miss your dead mum and wish your dad wasn't such a depressed loser, but it's time to bid them adieu. Cid? Try not to kill your son out of neglect when we're back home, kay?
I think that this is the perfect example. Nobody wants to go back except for Marche, and in doing so destroys an entire civilization. Lets face it, the people they left behind didn't care much that they were gone anyway.

At first, I was going to say Crypto from the Destroy All Humans! series, but...that's not right. Crypto's a bad guy that's oddly good. So, I will award the oddly evil title to Silhouette of the first game. She's the arch-nemesis, but she's defending Earth from the viably-dangerous alien menace.

The Comedian.

He's a super hero who tries to rape another super hero, kills children and kills a woman he impregnated.

*Thinking of something at least semi-original*

Dias Flac from the Star Ocean series maybe?
You read my mind... Oh wait, sorry, I saw that series with you and got the idea from you a few years ago... My bad. :p
