I fucking hated Stu from The Stand, as I found him to be ridiculously bland, but I hated that book in general anyway.

But that's mainly due to the fact so many fans adore him eventhough he has the motivation and personality of a cardboard box
This.I can never understand how he regularly tops best gaming character polls and the like. The guy has no character or personality
Beacause by not having a personality, you can decide his personality to your liking.

  • Kurosaki Ichigo (Bleach)
    Uzumaki Naruto (Naruto)
(Monkey D. Luffy is different)
I'm not sure why but I think it's because they're :S repetitive.? There's the same thoughts in every climax and the same speech in the final showdown.

Yes but my point still stands. How can a guy with no personality of his own regularly win "Best Gaming Personality" or whatever. That's like a silent character(of which he is one)winning a best voice award.Makes no sense to me

Captain Planet - I don't mind heroes who are goody-goody if its because their principled just dont be preachy about it or give educational speeches.

Hm, I'm having a hard time thinking of any that I truly can't stand. I suppose some of the dialogue choices for KOTOR when you go Jedi are a bit on the cheesy side and I for one almost ended up wishing I'd gone Sith instead (and probably will do the next time I play). Then again aren't the Jedi supposed to be like that?

Ohohoh, I know! Jaina Proudmoore with her new voice in the Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons.

Superman indeed, I can't stand him. No one can fight the bastard because, oh yeah he's bullet, laser, fist, car, knife, bomb, death proof. Only super villains can fight him and he just seems like the most boring hero ever. I think out of all the DC heroes I like maybe 3 of them.

read 'Kingdom Come' :)

I'll have to say emotionally scarred protagonists that resort to being really broody and angsty. Then have a bunch of people unrealistically stay around them and do anything for them. It just gets old and unbelievable that people would put up with their self-pitying bullshit for so long. It's just weak character writing. I'm looking at you Square Enix.

But it's his cardboard boxness that makes him great, sorta like dr.tran being loved as a tv star, but being a little child.

Yes!
So many times YES! I still get nightmares from the ending... And to think it all started out as such a cute romantic comedy. *sniff*

This for the most part. Honestly, Superman is God (not literally), yet we're supposed to believe people are stupid enough to challenge him? Lex Luther is his arch-nemesis? Really? The whole thing reeks stupid to me

Also Batman. How many have died because he refuses to kill? It's fucking retarded.

every Hero loses points in my book when they insist on saving 1 person while the lives of hundreds (if not more) lie in the balance. It's quaint, stupid and condescending towards all those other 'lives', especially if they adopt that holier-than-though attitude towards the ones that do keep their cool and think of the bigger picture.

Also all game protagonists that have no mouths. Isaac from dead space was a prime example
