Hey Everyone, new Valkyria Chronicles.

Just thought I would post this here as I can't see anything else about it on the board.

Also there is going to be a PS4 remaster of the first game, which will be released in Japan but there is no word yet as to whether its going to get a release anywhere else. But I hope it does, the first Valkyria Chronicles is one of my favourite games of all time, but I never played any of the sequels due to not owning a Sony handheld.

So, does this excite you? Did you like the first games? Or do you just not care due to playing Fallout 4 (or something else)?

Also Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been put back to August.

Huh. Interesting. I liked the first game well enough, but it was more of an interesting curiosity than the kind of tent pole game that forms the foundation of an enduring franchise. Not sure it's an idea or game play style I'd be eager to see revisited.

I just bought the first Valkyrie Chronicles not long ago (after reading this I guess I should have waited lol), but I really love it so far. I'll be looking forward to this one! Hope it keeps the same watercolor art style and soundtrack composer.

Did you read all the details? It doesn't sound much like the first games. They are basically cutting most of what I like and replacing it with stuff I have seen before. I got so excited when I first heard, but then things crashed quickly when I read about it. :S

It's been 4 years since the last VC and 5 years since the last English and the Sega decide to make a spinoff game with different gameplay, different artstyle and a total lack of RAITA.
I can't say I'm hyped but I am interested to see where this goes.

I love VC the original
VC 2 and 3 I consider to be pices of garbage which slaughtered the whole strategic gameplay aspect. I realize that handhelds have limitations but when game is more about girnding by playing almost exactly the same mission over and over and over again with awful AI its just misses all the charm and polish that any strategy game needs. I wont be suprised if they make another shity VC game due to the fact that it seems to me from the article they are keen on making and RPG instead of a strategy game that every fan of VC I've ever heard of wants.

An RPG VC game could be good. Its just not something I am activley looking forward to.

Well I loved the first game its my second favourite game of all time and I am not really a strategy game fan. Never played the 2nd because it never appealed to me while the 3rd did but they never brought it over and to be honest I dont like playing on handhelds much anyway.

Probably wont get the remake it just does not feel necessary to me the original has not aged a bit so short of them supplying a lot of new content I will pass. As for the other one I will decide whether to get it once more info is available.
