Archemedes made a death ray (well mythbusters proved that he didn't but shhh.) And I thought that was pretty sweet.

So I made a variation of his name to name a video game character I was designing for college, he was a Mage-Cowboy.
And yeah, he was so awesome that the name became my favourite alias for the internets.

I was playing a game of L4D when as a tank i sneaked behind the survivors and the music died so they taught i died but knowing i was right behind them they activated the panic event then i rushed in from above and killed them.
