I think that the OP has a point. When I started using the internet, it was only when my parents would let me and didn't want to call anyone, thanks to good old 56k. We've since forgotten how long websites used to take to load...man, YouTube/Counter-Strike etc on non-broadband must've been hell.

Also, imagine in 2002 someone said to us that by 2010, one in twelve people on the planet will be on a networking site that allows you to share everything from photos to your taste in music. I'd have called you a shitdriller, and possibly a fib too.

I've been sitting here watching your avatar for the last two minutes. It goes brilliantly with Pendulum's Out Here. Heh.
Really? I'm a Pendulum fan myself, so I'm going to have to check that out when I'm done taking my nap! Thanks for letting me know xD

I stayed up for 3 hours learning seriously EVERYTHING about The Power Rangers. This was three days ago. That show was on in fucking 1994. That's ridiculous.

The only problem is when you interrupt your own masturbation because you got a sudden urge to find out who was the most popular musician in France in 1847. Wikipedia can be a blessing and a curse.
Have been in the same situations countless times xD I even did that with Power Rangers awhile back, which reminds me, I was going to download some more episodes, me and my girlfriend have been having a blast with it.

Well blogging and angelfire were around then. It was a little harder to use, but the same idea. Things like facebook and WordPress just came along and made it so you didn't have to learn basic HTML and CSS to tell someone that you're spending the day sipping Kool Aid naked in a pool.
Hah, very true. I think perhaps today's internet promotes a much more casual surfing/blogging experience to the one in the past.

I am aware of it in a slightly 'back of the brain' way. And now and then it does hit me, but as with anything, there's not much else you can do other than go..."Woah.." and then shrug and move on.

I reckon it'd go quite well with any of their songs with the right timed beat, Out Here was pretty good though.

Also (Y) (Y). Pendulum fucking rule. Especially live (Only seen them once, for about 20 minutes lol)

Not so sure about that. My parents have always been pretty tech savvy so I rarely have to try to explain the magic glowing box to either of them and we all tend to just roll with the punches when the new tech comes along.

I will say that I'm probably more of an internet culture curmudgeon than my parents are.
I signed up for Facebook begrudgingly, I refuse to sign up for Twitter and I think I'm rapidly approaching a time when I just sucker punch the next idiot who uses text speech or an internet meme in a face to face conversation.
