I was just rewatching an old Pokemon episode and I noticed that Ash used the same Pokeball twice to try to catch the same Pokemon. That would mean that they don't break or whatever so why do I have to only use them once in the games?!

Took me a minute to realise what you meant but yeah, the balls bounce off, but he catches it again. It's those Poke mart scum, ripping us off. I hate them so much!

Because he threw it really hard at the pokemon. You may notice in the games that you throw really weakly, and it lands just in front.

The Johto economy was different back then, Pokeballs could be made with stronger, more durable material. But since the economic downturn many of the Pokeball companies have gone bankrupt and the cost for the materials has inflated wildly.
