Have you seen Derren Brown's Trick or Treat?
Personally, I hate the guy, but I believe it was season 2, episode 3, more easily identified as "Don't kill the kitten" that encompasses this concept. I'd look it up and see if you can find it through some legitimate means (I can't find any right now) and watch it.
