That actually means they're trying to remember something (as in telling the truth about a memory).
I thought looking to the left was creating, and looking to the right was remembering? Or did I get it the wrong way around? OOps...

I lie like a master. I guess. with all those lies a while ago I forget what's true and what isn't.

I'm a good actor so I've taught myself not to show the signs...
Ventriloquism?

OT: I am apparently a very good liar and rubbish at lying. Depends on who you ask really. I don't even know myself

I've got quite a few of the standard tells... but I've also got a bit of training in that sort of thing so I deliberately introduce them into regular conversation.

Works for me, screws with people who think that things like a "glance to the left" are a give away.

My fiance can usually tell though, because I have to smile when I try it on her, so it just never works out.

Oh, damn I forgot it might have to do with the sides so you might be right. I remembered that looking away meant trying to reach a memory (concentrating on empty space).

I myself am an okay liar though sometimes I try to make up something crazy to see if I can and it never works.

I tend to look people in the eye when I'm lying to them, then I blink on purpose and look away, but not too quickly. My gaze sort of drops slowly to the bottom left. A couple of people have caught me out in this way. I lie a great deal, and most people believe me unless they're especially observant.

(While playing Texas Hold'em) Because I'll scratch my neck, puff on my cigarette, or sip on my beer instead of focus on my hand. Since I know those are my tells though I try to avoid doing them when I'm bluffing or purposefully doing them when I have the best possible hand to trick people in to thinking I'm bluffing when I'm not. Works rather well sometimes.

OT: Extra tactic, if you want to mess with people, tell them that you know their tells and then give them a false one like "you never drink when you're bluffing". Then sit back and watch them sip a lot or actually chug when they're trying to throw out false tells. (I know they didn't do that to me because I win the hand when I do it).

Yeah, I laugh when trying to lie to certain people but I also can't help from laughing when what they're saying is ridiculous or they try to do a "serious interrogator face" so they think I'm lying when I'm not. So, they just give up trying to tell.

My eyes lose focus when I lie and you can see my pupil's dilate. I don't have any other tells, and when I eventually get a pair of glasses that should go away, since the real problem is that my eyes lose focus if I'm not concentrating. I do add random false tells when I lie though. Given that my real tell is pretty subtle, people tend to focus on my fake ones that I can just stop doing if it's important.

I normally don't get caught lying. I mix it well with the truth enough so that people assume I say the truth more then a lie. Like if there is no way out of it, I tell the truth, but it's a conversation I may slip some in or not.

OR DO I??!?!?!?!!

im depressingly good at lying

so much so that i invent my own tells/breaks in my voice/change in pitch when i lie just to maybe tip people off but even then...
it's hard for people to care about your problems when they dont know you have any and you have too much pride to just tell them

on the plus side, im pretty good at telling when other people are lying

I've practice over the years, my trick is to believe your lie, and I am pretty good at detecting lies, I just get that gut feeling when someone is lying

I get away with lying all the time...not sure how, 'cuz it feels obvious to me, but maybe I come across as genuine, who knows? I can almost never tell if someone's lying to me, though..."sigh"
