Most people are kind of burnt out on the subject of Anita Sarkeesian, pro gun threads, why is My Little Pony any good, Xbox One is going to suck balls, Demon's Souls was hard and for true gamers but Dark Souls was dumbed down for filthy casuals (or maybe it was the other way around, I get confused), define gamer, casual and hardcore... but hell, knock yourself out. Welcome! Quick advice:

1. Stay out of Religion and Politics, I once went to the list of newest topics, I could not hit the back button any quicker.

2. Don't be too confrontational, people are willing to have nice discussions, but start it off wrong and things will go down hill fast.

3. Come to forum games, we have lots of fun and zaniness, and cookies of course.

4. Avoid gender topics unless you have super strong feelings about it.

Greetings! I would add that you should look to also join a user group within this site. Look at the active ones and see if any are of similar interests to you. It's a great way to meet people and chat at a more personal level, and is where some people spend a lot of their time.

Also... if you are visiting the site often, check out the forum games. If you haven't before, dive into a new roleplaying game, and see if you like it! Something you can't really tell if you like until you give it a go!
