I have the Hiccups. I know there is technically 'no cure' so I'm just waiting for them to go away.
Everyone knows someone who swears by some such wacky cure for the hiccups. Give me one you know of. Or make one up that sounds plausable. You can also tell us about bad timing you've had with hiccups.

I am a detective and am waiting for someone I need to interview given the nature of the person coming I might need to be a little intimidating.
This is difficult with the hiccups.

Drink for half an hour, then take a breath.
Not only will your hiccups be gone, that pesky 'having to breathe' problem will be gone too!

I have no hiccup remedies...

I have a good way!

Get a glass of water and bend forward as far as you can go so you're kinda horizontal!
Then drink some of the water.

Sounds weird, I know, but it works for me.

well about hiccups at a bad time, I had em at a funeral ._.
That depends on how much you liked the departed in question or more importantly if they had a good sense of humor.

Change your breathing pattern, take slow breaths, then a quick bursts of breaths, hold breath, breath normal, more rapid breathing ect. ect.

This always works for me.

Hold your breath for about twenty seconds. Without hiccuping.
If you do, start over.
It's worked for me.

I usually just take long breaths over a period of 10 minutes.

Have someone hold or cover your ears while you drink a full glass of water. Works every time.

I hold my breath... the longer you hold it, the less chance hiccups have of coming back.

A minute or so is a good measure. More if hiccups persist :D - I just did min and a half with no problems :).

Breathe in, hold your breath and push your fingers behind your rib cage, don't be too rough with it though.

It stops your diaphragm spazzing out, which is what a hiccup is.

Hold your breath I guess, it sometimes works.
This, always works for me. The important thing is that when you finally breathe out, do it slowly and controlled.

About hiccups at a bad time... well, I suppose it would suck if you're on the bomb squad and get the hiccups right when you're about to clip an important wire.

Swallow a living duck. It will eat the jumping demon in your stomach!
be wary of female ducks though. if it lays its egg inside of you you will turn into a badgerfur coat in your sleep.

I don't get hiccup fits often.

I get random squeaky ones every so often :D
Finally! Someone other than me who has squeaky hiccups.

It's just so damn annoying when they suddenly come. I almost always get laughed at when I get a squeaky hiccup:(

I find a great big burp solves them.
So, gulp in a lot of air, then drink a lot on top, preferably something fizzy.
