High School Cleaners - Are They Always Wierd?

haha ok where do you live? Do you go to a very 'posh' school?

We have one cleaner who always looks like he's high and can often be found cruising on a lawn mower so he has the nickname snoop dog

Another cleans over night and draws massive manga drawings on the school white board, odd but epic.

On the other side most are quite all right; they'll often get footballs (and once a shoe) off the roof

One of the cleaners my school has suffers from short term memory loss or something. When he was cleaning the bathroom he asked me where he was.

I was like 0_o then told him. Few hours later I walk into the bathroom and he again asks where he was.

The others are all normal, which is lucky cos I have no intention of repeating my school's name ten times a day.

It seems like every janitor hates being there. I don't know why they would take that kind of job.

The same reason anyone takes a cleaning job: they need the money and they don't have the right skills needed for a cushier job.

Anyway, our cleaners were pretty normal for the most part, they were friendly towards most people. Our groundskeeper, on the other hand basically never said anything to any of the students. He could speak English, since he talked to the teachers a bit, but it was like he pretended we weren't there. The IT admin was kind of weird as well, he was really short (not quite dwarfism short, but close), had a speech impediment, and disliked just about everyone.

At my school they usually kept to themselves and just did their job. So they weren't weird or anything, they just preferred to keep to themselves.

that makes it sound like they Engineered hygiene, for that , they should get paid a whole bunch of golds.

My cleaner looked like Vin Diesel's Dad.

at my highschool we had a one that eats candy from the floor and another who has a "45km/h car" (meaning you don't need a license, and it looks ridiculous) which he pimped with chrome rims and a spoiler....

so yes they are weird but awesome because they could be bribed for chocolate

I'm not sure about janitors, but there is this one fellow at school who makes an interesting array of robot-noises to himself sometimes. He seems nice.

The cleaner at my high school was named Joe, he was quiet and liked gardening.
Just a normal guy doing his job and he was actually liked by the students - he made an effort to be nice to us and we didn't trash everything on him.

So no, not all janitors/cleaners are weird, I even had a job cleaning once but in a goverment building. Some people were nice to talk to but others were assholes to me, guess who got the better service..?

My middle school janitors were AMAZING. They were the sort of old guys you'd see out on a porch sipping tea and talking about the old days, and I mean that in the best way possible. They were so cool and laid back.

My high school janitor was less cool, but still, he was an all right guy.

I guess when it comes to weirdness, everyone has their own quirks, but when you frequently work around people, it's going to be more obvious.

My old primary janitors could be seen tapping the wall tiles when they thought no one was around. I saw this and asked him what he was doing. He replied,"checking for alien infestations, man. I kid you not, the principle is an alien!" it was then after this I knew what the plants in the "hobo hut" outside our school were.

That aside, the one janitor I can recall was awesome

The janitors at my school all suck. An old bitter woman, an annoying mexican guy (looks like Mario and his name is actually Mario ), a VERY annoying younger woman (two guys were fighting and all she did was tell one fo them to pick a plastic bag off the ground..) and some other not memorable people..

I helped out a friend by covering his cleaning shift a few times.
At my school, they had the 6th formers (not sure how that equates in American terms) do the cleaning for quite a decent wage, it was a pretty nice system.

So, to answer the question, in our school the people who did the cleaning were just your average bunch of high schoolers, not weirdos.
