Found it frickin' hilarious. The best way to deal with things? Slightly-not-so-innocent jabs.

His shirt is showing his love for the Helvetica font, but the typewriter is Arial font. Hope that helps.

I don't find that offensive. I think that's kind of funny.

I think it's worth pointing out that I'm jewish. Your friend, OP, does have every right to be offended, but I see that it's not a big deal to laugh at it. Hell, if anything, it ruins Hitler's image, and I think that's what we want, right?

OT: I like a comic called Gun Show. Not many people know of it, but when I show it to some, they just stare and wonder why the hell I'm laughing. To a certain extent, I can't blame them. A lot of the comics are NSFW or just make absolutely no sense.

Yeah, there was this little kid called Engla[footnote]which sounds almost exactly like the Swedish word for "angel"[/footnote] who'd been murdered. I saw a sign in a bakery saying "We're thinking of you, Engla!" I laughed out loud at it. Um, guys? She's dead. As in: won't be reading that sign of yours.
Sorry if it offended you, but that was kind of the point of this thread, right?
As funny as dead 10-year olds are, I dont the sign was aimed at Engla herself, but rather to people in general, as the murder and possibly rape of a 10-year old is something that in most places are frowned upon.

OT: is anyone else having trouble reading the comic past comic 2?

Pretty hilarious. I lost it when he told Goebbels to stop trying so hard.

I'm sure there are people that will be offended by this, but really, comedy is just tragedy plus time. You could make a John Wilkes Booth joke today and nobody would bat an eye.

Mel Brooks said the reason he used Hitler [http://www.usnews.com/usnews/culture/articles/010820/archive_038235.htm] in so much of his comedy was to show how ridiculous dictators are. He wanted to make sure the next dictator to come along would be laughed at, and not respected.

It a joke about fonts. He wanted a special font which looks almost exactly like arial. If you leave the cursor on the comic I think thats the name of the font.

I just read the first comic it linked too. I don't see what's that bad about it. :0

If anything it makes Hitler seem kinda camp... O-o

Hipsters love the Helvetica font, and can't stand Arial, even though they look exactly the same.

OT: I think HH is hillarious, but I wouldn't show it to 80% of my friends.

It's pretty funny. I really can't say I agree with OP's friend's thoughts. These days you can pretty much only do two things with Hitler without it being seen as offensive.
1. Present him in a serious documentary-like manner.
2. Make fun of him until the cows come home.

I like it. It's a great way of mocking Hitler and Hipsters (the two greatest evils EVER) ... AT THE SAME TIME!
