Whether it be a conflict or not, what event would you like to see (or you would like to see more) in a video game. My personal choice would be WW1, I find it fascinating with the introduction of industrialization to warfare.

personally I would like to see a major war from ancient history. Like an old school battle where you have like thousands of guys just running at each other and more than likely whoever had the most people would win.

My depth into the video game market is limited, so apologies if there are already games on these events-

But my interests lie deep within history. More recently I've been obsessed with the Middle Ages, from Europe/Norse etc conquests and colonizings, up to the Crusades.
And on that note, a/some game(s) about Middle Easter/Arabian history. The wars and politics that happened were fascinating.
A serious game about Japan (pre-Meiji) would be sweet as well.

And then I come to my favourite topic- Ancient History. Ancient Greek history and mythology is epic, a GOOD game on that would be kinda nice. And around BC200-AD100 in Rome would be awesome. From Sulla to Augustus; by far my favourite part of ancient roman history. The politics, war, sabotage, coalitions, triumvirates, betrayals, revenge.. it's all in there for a mix of a bloody epic game.

Again, apologies if these games already exist. My excuse would be that if they were good enough, I'd have known about them ;)

WW2 is thoroughly played out: there's the Industrial Revolution, the Silk Road, feudal Japan, and my idea: a mixture of steampunk, the old West, and medieval-era Japan.

The Crusades. Assassin's Creed got me thinking about the potential for a game set in this time period. My favorite premis: A lone soldier, seperated from his group in a fierce battle, is trapped in Jerusalem, and tries to find his way back. While there, he sees the horrors commited by his own countrymen. This sends him on a deep journey of thoughts on the ideas of religiuos extremism, the innocence lost in war, and the fact that there is no honor on the battlefield. Hunted by the enemies, and declared an enemy sympathizer, so attacked by his own allies, he must find his own place in this war-torn world that unties upon a single purpose: his death.

Also: steampunk eras. Just because it would be f***ing awesome.

For some reason I feel like the AC vs. DC battle with Tesla and Edison would make a good Phoenix Wright style game, considering all of the ridiculous things they did to prove themselves to the public. Tesla as the protagonist, of course.

I like muskets. I want to see the American Civil War or the War of 1812 in a game.

It's a pretty sad situation when the best Civil War FPS is Darkest of Days.

A game set in extremely early history would be interesting. Back when woolly mammoths roamed the earth.

Backpack-mounted Tesla coil as a main weapon, General Theory of Relativity as a defense, upgradeable ludicrous hairdos.

Battle of Troy.
U.S. Civil War
War of 1812 on the side of the militia.
The expansion of Rome (Multiple titles covering this like WW2 is often covered would be cool.)
Vietnam (even though it has been touched on.)
King David's conquering of Jerusalem
Viking Invasion of England

Also, I would like to see a game in the spirit of the movie Gladiator.

Wait.
I really, REALLY want to see a cyberbunk Battle of Troy. Good luck, Valve.
Why Valve? Because they're the only game company I trust anymore.

The 'staches will be infused is physical mathematics, developed by Einstein himself.

Like this?

Rome Total War

I want to see a game that takes place in Grenada. You could complete the entire war in the course of the campaign.
