Hitman Absolution on Steam Summer Sales

So Hitman: Absolution's currently having a discount on Steam, and it's only for $6.24 at the moment. I hadn't participated in this year's little 'emptying of the wallets for Valve' event yet, so I thought I should start somewhere. Is it worth the money?

Totally worth it, I got it for £9.99 a while back. However it's worth noting that I haven't played any of the previous Hitman games.

Definately worth it. If youre a seasoned hitman vet you might find it a tad on the easy side although its a bit less rigid and faster paced which makes it a lot more entertaining

Theres a load of non assasination missions that build up to the assassinations (eg sneak into generic compound, or find informant or escape the compound). These missions are really varied and i can think of a few examples such as your in a bar and you have to get to the bartender and theres another one in a gunshop where you have to get you ballers back

Absolution hasn't gotten very good reviews but that price is a STEAL.

I'd say so, as a Hitman vet, it is a bit easy for me, but it's a good entry game to the Hitman series and a fun enough game in it's own right.

i didn't enjoy one of the previous hitman games, but i got absolution on a wimb and i fucking enjoyed the shit out of it, plus the sniper challenge thing they have added on to it is a ton of fun in itself.

definitely recommend it for such a steal

Nope. Fucking awful game. The missions are almost all terrible and the disguise system is the worst thing ever.

I loved Absolution so considering the fact that I got it full price I'd call that a steal and I whole heartedly recommend getting it.

'course it's a bit easier than the other Hitman games, but entertaining none the less (at least compared to Dishonoured)

Have you played other Hitman games? I recommend playing other games in the series first (and they'll be cheaper too).
Blood Money is the best in the series, but it's probably for the best if you start with Silent Assassin. The first game is buggy, has bad controls and is very unforgiving, so I suggest skipping it unless you're brave enough to handle it.

If you have already played the other games (Or at least Blood Money and Silent Assassin) and want more, you should definitely get it.

I liked it, Played a load of Blood Money, at first I was put off by the more campaign style they took instead of just giving you a photo and plopping you in the level to go nuts, but it kinda grew on me with the exception of a few irks.

Oh I thought it was awful, and I played previous Hitman games.

Haven't tried again in months, but I doubt it'd be more fun the second time.

The game is quite simple on the levels where you have to go from point A to point B (I found them dull and almost a waste of time at points)
Though it really shines on the open areas where you have to assassinate a target or achieve an objective and escape without being seen/recognised. (Eg. Chinatown)
But yea, it is worth a buy for $6.24.

Ehhh, I would say no if you have played blood money, yes if you haven't. Hell just buy blood money. Absolution focused so much on a story no one would care about that they cut down the levels, the freedom, the levels, the fun, did I forget to mention the TINY A** LEVELS! All in all theres only 3 maps on absolution worth playing...

I guess what I am saying is pick up blood money instead and forget absolution

Absolution is a fantastic stealth game. However, I wouldn't call it a good Hitman game.
Is it worth the money? Definitely.
