Really? You know, it's hard to consider cooking being odd for a male while being on a forum where half the men watch cartoons for young girls.

For me, hobbies are things that you do casually, that entertain you without being too engaging.
so for me, I guess that's smoking weed and interacting with shallow, attractive, insecure women :)

I do have a couple of things which are more than just hobbies for me.
This is one of them:

If everything goes right, I might be doing this for a living next year. That would be awesome.

american football (calling it a hobby would be an understatement of sorts), music (listening and playing, specifically the drums), the occasional reading and whatever I find interesting at a given time...

Training.

I'm either working, sat with my wife and kids or going out somewhere or on my multi gym or down at the actual gym.

Watching pornography, masturbating, cleaning up afterwards,...

And 10 minutes later it comes down to: web design, 3D modeling, programming, mild game design, messing with new game engines, modding, reading on rare occasion, sports every once in a while,...

you are correct, but i never did say some people HERE might find it odd. cooking has always (in this culture) been generalized as an effeminate role, and while people in a community like ours tend to break a few of these generalized rules, people as a whole still tend to see them that way. even when i was raised initially, cooking was seen by me and my family as a female role, but as i grew (and parents separated) i was taught the importance of being able to cook and care for yourself. beyond the microwave-dinner standard. something not generally seen as done by males that wern't professionals.

and i am also (i dunno if it's sad, funny, or what) one of those grown men who watches cartoons many might describe as being intended for young girls... but i also talked about enjoying film (i include TV shows and anime in this as it IS still film... technically) i watch a lot of anime on my free time (both shonen and shojo) and enjoy it immensely. though some take more effort to enjoy than others...

Guitar, mainly.

I want to get into making electronic music, however with my current knowledge on the subject and the computer I currently have it will be like scaling a cliff face with a phone charger.

Any suggestions?

I collect/read comic books. Current generation, mostly Marvel brand. I also see a lot of movies. My friend is the manager of the local theater, so more often than not I get to see most for tree. I also watch anime but I've not seen many good one's recently that I really want to pick up.

Besides gaming? Hmm, lesse here... Archery for a few years now, piano and soccer for the majority of my life, soon I'll be learning how to play the violin, singing for a few years, gardening, exercise...
Generally, though, just doing anything with friends, especially outside if it's good weather. :D

... I'm sure I missed a couple, but it's exam time and I can't really brain right now.

I do digital drawings and comics for a hobby, mostly in the perspective of illustration and concept art nowadays (you can find my work here http://kriizi.deviantart.com/ ), I also sing (more like growl and grunt) in a death metal band (which you can find here http://soundcloud.com/weateeveryone )

Whoah, this post feels like a massive plug. Sorry about that, you don't have to click the links if you aren't interested. :D
