Holy cow! FemShep isn't a blondie anymore!

Or, at least it doesn't look like she's going to be.

After all of the rage over Blondie (which I'm pretty ashamed to admit I took a very small part in) and having many fans claim they only wanted the style of the hair, not the color, Bioware has put up a new poll featuring Shep #5 with a variety of haircolors. I guess all that talk wasn't just bulls**t- gingerShep's ahead by quite a bit.

The thing is, I voted against gingeshep- simply because I didn't want to play a character whose default look is extremely similar to my sister.

I don't get anything after the poll for a femshep i mean we the player are going to make her look like whatever we want just like maleshep so why all the polls, did they remove the customize features in the 3rd game or what?

There still will be customization, however, for the trailers and the default look for femshep will be the one that the community chooses

You know how the default male Shep was pre generated and looked very different from all of the user generated ones? The female one was made with the character generator, and they are adding in a pre-made default one for trailers and stuff.

She's also going to appear on the Collector's Edition tin, along with ManShep.

The style of hair is indeed the only reason I voted for the blonde one. Rest assured I've already plonked my vote on the redhead version now.

Well, for the people who don't care, there is always the option of not following the links and not casting your vote.

for everyone who thinks they want to have their say when asked, then yeah it's important. Why would you knowingly, when asked your opinion, answer contrary to your desire? That's just foolish.

I hope her hair is red in the end, because it would match my character. Tenel Ka Shep has had red hair since Mass Effect, and it would just be jarring for me to see her voice coming out of a different character.

I think this is less about the hair color and more about BioWare showing they realize there is a female fanbase to Mass Effect. They've been calling attention to FemShep recently so as not to alienate the them. Since Maleshep got pretty much all of the publicity in the last game (ads, trailers, etc), they've decided to actually SHOW Femshep isn't an afterthought to them.
