The word is that CryEngine3 will work with the 360 and PS3. If so, wow!

Otherwise, meh.
Yeah that was the big selling point, and since they have to make it runnable for the consoles, it will run much better on medium spec PC's.

It should be the big selling point, but the video doesn't make this very clear. I think most people would be more excited about crysis-quality graphics on a console than slightly-better-than-crysis graphics on a bank account-destroying PC.

Seriously.. I'm just going to stop bothering with trying to actually have a computer that can play video games.

Seriously it would cost less to actually go to Hawaii and see it myself than to actually pay for a computer that can run the simulated version.

I can't really tell a whole lot of difference between CryEngine 2 and 3. But maybe it was because I watched the video in low quality. Either way it looks awesome of course.

People, you don't need a top-end PC to run Crysis well or any other game well, if you want to run Crysis on HIGHEST in the HIGHEST resolution, then yeah you're going to need a beast of a computer. But a 9800GT can run Crysis on great settings, and thats classed as mid-range now that the GTX cards are out. Bearing in mind Crysis is the best looking game in history, you can play any other game (with the possible exception of bad ports) on highest settings on a 'good' computer. And you can run any game at console-quality graphics with an okay computer. PC gaming is only expensive if you go for the best of the best hardware!!

I played Crysis a year ago from start to finish on a 7600GS on low settings with physics on high. I enjoyed it immensely. That card costs about £20. ;)

Next elder scrolls game on that engine please
Theres actually people that would want to play TES5 without selling their souls for a computer to run the game in low settings.
Yeah, but the rest of us would be ok with it :)

Yay, another mediocre FPS that requires a PC built by Jesus himself to run. Graphics over substance = win.
