I bought the Orange box purely because it was 5$ in a bargain bin. I always knew I'd try HL 2 and Portal eventually... but damn, I'm glad that purchase turned up when it did.

Similarly I've bought several games on steam simply because they were on sale at less than 6$. Some of them, Borderlands 1 for example, I haven't even played.

I picked up Folklore at gamestop because the title/font on the side of the box was cool and because it was cheap. I certainly did not regret that purchase.

Just last weekend I swung by a random garage sale and picked up 32 Genesis games (only three sports titles), two controllers, and an arcade controller for $10.

Probably that Torchlight 2 4 pack that was released back in April. Four copies of both Torchlight and Torchight 2 for $60? What a score.
