L4D2. I was a survivor and we'd been ambushed, so I had been separated from the other survivors. All I had was a shotgun with 5 rounds left, an axe, and 20 health. I hear something behind me, so I run down a corridor...right into a Hunter that was leaping. Hit the trigger on reflex and killed it with one shot. RIGHT behind it was a Jockey, shot that in the head immediately afterwards, and behind THAT was another Hunter, which also got one shotted, then a Spitter ran out and I got her in the head, too. Four Special Infected kills in about 6 seconds. (And then the spitter's acid got me killed.)

You're just not getting it. There's no real point me continuing.

Some games are trying to be as realistic as possible. And when someone says realism they don't say mundane realism. Things can be realistic and fund at the same time. It's not illegal. People play UFC and fightnight because they're realistic games.

And if you knew what a haymaker was you'd have shut up. How is it just luck if it was a haymaker that brought him to the floor? And when I said many factors, how did you only drag luck from that? Yes it is fair. if 1 in 10000 games nets you a lucky K.O. what's the deal? Live with it. My god it's not that important.

Also if hadoken spammers are a big deal for you spam right back. Most people can counter that shit normally. It's not unfair. It's just a lame tactic.
A) And when I said many factors, how did you only drag luck from that?
dathwampeer said:
Which was that sometimes random lucky punches do have an effect. [...] If you land one [Haymaker] it you either just got lucky and caught your enemy off guard.
Those are your unaltered pieces of the many reply you send me. Since it's happen to the very first punch of the game, it's impossible that it's not bound by a random luck mechanism. Therefore, I'm basically calling it bullshit on principal that any fighting or competition base video game logic should be fair for any and all players.

B) Hadouken (don't forget the U) spammer is a problem that were address in Street Fighter 3. They also find a way to counter that without pulling the hadouken out of the game. But you are right, it's not impossible to counter in all game, you just have to become one or suffer cheap damage through you block (except for ST3). Yup, that's the real name of that kind of damage and not me being piss about it. Beside, my plan is to play Cammy since she's the only one that can move under the fireball with Sonic Drill.

And now, It's my turn.

1) Why does my solution does work?
2) Why does making it a known attack that can impede you if you fail is such a bad idea?
3) Why do you have a problem taking luck out of the equations?
4) Is blind luck so important that it take out realism from the game?

You said i don't get it... Then explain.

Once shot my AK-47 by accident when I was reaching for my soda while I was playing COD4 and headshoted a sniper on Countdown (it was hardcore mode.)

I stuck C4 to a helicopter and deliberately parked it. Waited for it to "fill up" and got a quadruple kill. Or just using a UAV drone to run someone over. Or getting two kills in a row with the medics paddles. In Cod6 Getting blown up by my own mine but having it as the "game-winning kill".
I got the kill because he set it off I just forgot i'd put it there. I was the on the winning side just to clarify.

A) When I say you were lucky to land it I mean your opponent didn't notice the punch or just couldn't react in time. And the factors could have been anything from the how the guy was moving, whether he was in the middle of a punch or not and so on so on ect ect.

What is your solution exactly. All I've seen you do is ***** about luck.

Is it really a big deal considering I've never heard it happen to anyone before

And luck is a massive part of realism. As long as it doesn't become a regular occurrence.

B) Special spammers don't get far when faced with someone who knows what they're doing. That's why you never see them in the competitions.
Pfff. You didn't read any of my post, right. You know what, if it's a one way conversation this whole time, your a sad man indeed. Beside, all i heard from you is:
Don't take luck out of it or i'll suck!!!!!
or rather, it is with same filter you use rationalize what you just said while trying to make you look smart.

Genius idea! I must try that with other vehicles.

ONce me and a friend were playing Halo 2 on live and had been stuck with only brute shot so we went into the warthog(he drove i sat in the gunner seat) and just went to the middle of the map. By the end of the match I had 65 kills 0 deaths while my friend had 85 assists, we laughed so hard, and i have never been able to repeat that instance.

Nothing much. Just...
GT2, regular enjoyment exhaused, trying silly challenges for the hell of it.

Fiat 500 (canary yellow, natch), stock except for gearbox and tyres.
Normal race event, short Rome circuit.

...Second place.

Anyone who's played against that game's stupid ass, cheating as all hell AI and it's outright unfair playfield "balancing"* will understand how much of a goddamn fluke (or skill, since lost?) that is. Much "cheating" in kind - within the bounds of normal play mechanics - was required.
*(oh, you've got a 25hp car? We'll send out a load of 100+hp opponents even though there's plenty of 20-60 ones available... and massively soup up any direct counterparts or exact-same-models that do slip the net)

Oh, and being part of a crew that defeated the dragon on Gauntlet II, before the computer's PSU overheated and made it throw a load of errors on completing the level :( Proper skin of teeth stuff, never to be repeated.

A Free-for-All Snipers game in Halo 3 on Ghost Town, a guy jumped out of a hole and I fired my sniper in surprise and ended up nailing him with a no-scope headshot. Another time I killed three people consecutively with the shot gun I was lucky enough that none of them saw me.

I'll simplify it for you.

When you read of more than 1 case of this happening. Then go make a fuss.

For all you know it could have been a glitch. All I was saying is that even if it wasn't, it would only make the game more realistic. For a game trying to be realistic, that's good.

Also I think it's worth pointing out I've never played UFC before. So taking out something that might not even be there would hardly increase or decrease my sucking at it.
And all I'm saying is: It remove the Fair in FAIR FIGHT... and you can acknowledge that other people may have a point because for all instance and purpose, you didn't even say anything beside;

Damp13child: But it happen!!!! *burst into Tears*

Edit: You haven't played it!?!?! Then your not qualify to even respond to me.

Many KO's in UFC Undisputed were like that for me, like getting hammered all round one, stepped out for round 2 with a hook (no touching gloves) and BAM KO!
It's like something magical. Granted, my stepbrother didn't share the same opinion.

It's the commentators and the crowd, it sounds a lot like like an actual UFC fight, a KO is a massive thing and everyones buzzed, somehow they transfered it to the game, it's awesome

I double airshotted an enemy soldier, and then juggled+airshot his medic in TF2 a few days ago. Felt good, man.

Killed a guy from almost a full maps length away In Half Life 2: Deathmatch. Can't remember the map..

Was carrying a sink i'd pulled from a wall using the grav gun and was miles away from the action, then see a guy sprinting on the otherside of a chainlink fence, so I fire more in hope than anything but the sink arcs perfectly hitting him just as he passes a conveniant gap in the fence! Couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the game..

So many epic moments with the grav-gun though, could probably fill it's own thread.

Although, after playing for so long, the commentators tend to repeat themselves a lot.
