"Teenagers" ... who were instrumental in stopping SOPA and PIPA and, if they are successful, doing something about ACTA.Jack the Potato said:Anonymous is mad the government shut down a site that pretty much does NOTHING ELSE but stream copyrighted material? I will continue saying what I have always said: They are teenagers. Megaupload was lucky it lasted so long, and NOBODY should be surprised it's been shut down.
And of course, Anonymous "shuts down" a government website... for what? A day? *gasp* TWO DAYS?! Who cares? Even for the Dept. of Justice this is an annoyance at the very worst.
Instrumental in stopping SOPA? NOBODY LIKED SOPA! Anonymous did nothing that EVERY OTHER person on the internet was already doing. They probably accomplished even less, since the government sees them as criminals/punks. Channel Awesome actually went to Washington to speak with congressmen! THAT is something.funguy2121 said:"Teenagers" ... who were instrumental in stopping SOPA and PIPA and, if they are successful, doing something about ACTA.Jack the Potato said:Anonymous is mad the government shut down a site that pretty much does NOTHING ELSE but stream copyrighted material? "Teenagers" who remain involved in the Occupy movement.
"Teenagers" who are trying to organize protests against NDAA.
No! No-one gets left behind, my friend! [grabs your wrist and runs in the opposite direction of the incoming monsters, while Hans Zimmer makes it awesome with his music [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7-Ju0DYLj0]]JesterRaiin said:I'll protect you !Nouw said:I'm scared >.>? What do we do now?

Just... go, hide, preserve our knowledge and wisdom, teach future generation.
Teach them well... So they wouldn't repeat our mistakes.
Now go, i'll stay. Somebody must sacrifice for the majority.

Yes, the occupy movement, which has utterly failed to accomplish its goals because many see their message as muddled and/or selfish. Surely the support of a group of "hacktivists" is what they need to raise awareness. Most people at Occupy Wall Street who actually care RESENT Anonymous for being there because their very presence undermines the movement's message.
And yea, "trying." Brag about that when they actually succeed in getting support outside of their own brainless followers.
How very political of you. Attempt to make me look like the fool by sarcastically saying I've got it "all figured out." And I'm the condescending one here?funguy2121 said:I guess I can't argue with you, since you've got it all figured outJack the Potato said:Instrumental in stopping SOPA? NOBODY LIKED SOPA! You're awfully condescending towards people who have suffered in subfreezing temperatures for hours on end and in some cases been illegally arrested while fighting for a cause that you're afraid to stand up for. And "selfish?" Support that. Defend that statement.
"Nobody liked SOPA!" The overwhelming majority of congress supported SOPA until the pressure was applied.
As for your "I'll be impressed when they actually accomplish something..." attitude, you'd better be impressed when someone actually manages to beat the mightiest, most tyrannical superpower the world has ever seen. But, y'know, no big whoop.
