How is this legal? I'm pretty sure a weapon that size doesn't count as an arm which you can bear.

Well, you have to ask what qualifies something as a weapon. Since it doesn't use gunpowder, I'm pretty sure no one is going to see it as an issue (hell, the thing doesn't even make much noise).

If you hit someone with the pumpkin, I daresay the victim of the pumpkin may consider it a weapon. Maybe it's because I'm not an American and I don't crack one off to pictures of the latest assault rifle to hit the market but this seems pretty freaking dangerous to me.

Oh, well isn't this new and different. An asshat who likes to make blanket assumptions about people from another country. Had it occurred to you that someone whose capable of building something like that might be smart enough to not point it at people?

Did you watch the bloody video? He shot it vaguely into the air! They fired a bowling ball which "just kept going and going." implying they have no bloody idea how far this thing can fire. How're you meant to clear people out of the way if you don't know the capabilities of your own machine?

And yes, I did make a blanket statement. It's called stereotyping. From all the people going "FUCKING AWESOME!" in this thread I don't think I'm far-bloody-off either. You want me to feel bad about stereotyping? Stop self-fulfilling them.

Now your behaving like a child. As a matter of fact, I did watch the video, and it appeared to me that they were firing into their farm. I simply made the assumption that people their age wouldn't be stupid enough to intentionally damage another individual's property or person. I could be incredibly wrong, but then so could you.

As for stereotyping, it's never justified. EVER. It's lazy thinking perpetrated by people who like to insult other groups without bothering to really learn anything about them. Maybe some of these people are saying "FUCKING AWESOME!" because they're impressed that a group of apparently average people could build something like that?
