Now that we have that misleading title out of the way, lets get onto story time. And quite hopefully the point of this thread.

Now I was playing Mount & Blade: Warband some hours ago, and thought to myself "How awesome would it be if I could enter the game world with a gun and take over it all?"
That story has a point. The point of it is that it gave me the idea for this thread.

What I want to do here is ask you, The Escapist, if you could enter any game world with any item, what item/s would that be, and what game would you go into? And what would you do in said world?
Lets say that you choose to take a tank into Oblivion, you could come back to our world to restock on ammo and refuel. And you would have infinite stocks of ammo and fuel.


I would personally go into the world of M&B:Warband with a high caliber sniper rifle, and a shit load of ammo. Become a vassal to the kingdom of the Nords. And then help King Ragnar take over all of Caldria.
I would also take some food with me. Because I'm certain that my stomach wouldn't be able to handle that medieval food.

That might work. Although I would get in well with the Mages Guild, enchant the M16. Then make Cyrodil bow down.
Just because the normal M16 might not work so well against those damned magical armors.

I would enter a Star Wars game with a Harrington class SD(P). You never said that it had to be a real item, and a Harrington could take the Deathstar easy, much less anything else in there. Maybe with some CLACs for small craft support.

It would really be just for the grievance factor. Imagine, plugging away in an instance with your group.... all of a sudden a platoon of Spartan's shows up with AR's and wipe you out. good times.

I wouldn't want to go into any game with any weapon. Any game in which a gun would be useful would mean that the game takes place in the past, or in a medieval alternate universe, a place that I would not want to go to or take over.

Would rather go into the future, but in that case, any current weapons would be pretty much useless because they would have much better ones.

It doesn't have to be weapons. I just used tank as an example. I said that you could take any item. So you could go 10,000 years into the future with a piece of loaf. Sure, it wouldn't make any sense, but it would most likely be hilarious.
