just hope they actually rent out licenses instead of do it through some company like gameservers, so there's actually a bit more customization. but i think it's safe to say that's wishful thinking. those days seem to be long gone.
I would agree somewhat, ArmA is a fairly big game with the big maps. The scale of Homefront maps are unknown (at least I think so anyways) for now, it could possibly be the same scale as BC2, possibly a bit bigger.Kalezian said:Nouw said:Dedicated Servers WOOHOO! Definitely worth a rent, I might even buy this game!
Also, is it bad for me to want more players?
consider this, Armed Assault has the ability for Warfare, which is basically 25 vs 25 on vanilla servers that is in its own right an entirely different game.
16 vs 16 just feels too 'console' for a game that not only is on PC, but has dedicated servers, this coming form a primarily console player.
Possibly because the guy in your pic.The Imp said:Let's wait until we get to see the whole deal. Black Ops was also supposed to have dedicated servers and in the end you had to rent a server with Activision's exclusive partner.
And you know what, Homefront? I love you too. No homo.John Funk said:Homefront Devs Love Dedicated Servers
Homefront will have dedicated servers for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and developer Kaos thinks it's just the way to go.
I really don't think so. I've been following this game for awhile and it just looks great.GamesB2 said:Seriously is there anything bad about this game?
THQ... you are my new gods. Kaos Studios are demi-gods.
That is the way it is looking. The only real concern would be something being overpowered. But I think they would fix anything that would be OP.That Guy Who Phails said:This is has to be the next Cod4, there's nothing bad about it!
unfortunately.... because it doesnt have the same marketing push it will flop because activision or EA will probably do their best to buy up all the adspace that should have been devoted to this gameGamesB2 said:Seriously is there anything bad about this game?

I know, isn't he great as a response magnet? I chose bobby over the troll-face because i thought the troll-face was too subtle.Exort said:Possibly because the guy in your pic.The Imp said:Let's wait until we get to see the whole deal. Don't worry, it's not the only game using dedicated servers. Even downloadable games like Monday Night Combat have dedicated servers these days. It's only the big guys who use P2P matchmaking because they believe there will be so many people playing that it's cheaper for them.green_dude said:Step back in the right direction. Hopefully the game doesn't bomb and scare other devs away from dedicated servers.
The game plays on nationalism (or 'patriotism' as American nationalists like to call it). You can not deny it.SpiderJerusalem said:*slow clap*Kair said:I saw the trailer for Homefront.
I wondered for a bit: "Where have I seen this kind of nationalist zeal before?"
It took me 30 seconds to realize: "National Socialist Germany."
Wow. Not only did you miss the entire point of the game, but you managed to throw in the Nazi card as well.
That requires some talent.
